This might be the best team I've ever seen and this is coming from an LSU fan. We tried everything and didn't really make any major mistakes and Alabama thoroughly dominated us. In the past when we played Alabama it was a couple mistakes or missed opportunities that could have given us a good chance of winning, but in this game that wasn't the case at all. We never had the slightest hope of winning. If we played a perfect game it might have been 24-10, still not even close.

That's what's so scary: LSU DID play a perfect game, meaning no turnovers, until that late meaningless interception. LSU's offense was okay; Bama's pass rush and line play just kept them bottled up. LSU's DBs were fine; Bama's receivers were just faster and ran good routes, and had an awesome QB getting the ball to them. I'd like to think that Saban told his players what they had on the line in this game, and they committed to giving LSU no breathing room.

They have so much talent in every facet of their game and when you pair this with the unmatched discipline, execution, and consistency they have it is hard anywhere to play with them.

They're Oline has multiple first rounders, their D-Line has multiple first rounders, their secondary has multiple first rounders, their linebackers are all 1-2 round picks, their quarterback is maybe one of the best we've ever seen, their receivers are all future NFL starters, and their running backs are 2-3 rounders. The talent on this team trumps that of the 2011 championship team and it's not even close.

From an LSU fan, I’ve always respected Bama. This is by far best team I’ve seen from them throughout the years. They won the line of scrimmage, confused the hell out of Burrow/the offensive line, and just dominated offensively. They could score at will when they need to. Zero points didn’t surprise me from LSU. I was waiting for Burrow to get completely exposed. Nick Saban did exactly what Bellichick does as a disciple of his philosophy: take away the best thing you do and force something else to beat him. I think LSU fans knew we were going to lose but too fearful of swallowing our pride. Ed O is still a good coach but he needs to swallow his pride and modernize this offense. This is the second time Steve Ensminger has been shutout at home. I never believed him or Canada to be the solution to LSU’s offensive whoas.

Basically the whole offence was covered from Waddle to Jacobs to Jeudy etc but LSU remained scoreless. What's the use of shutting down an offence if you're own offence can't score?? If you look at it this way, Alabama and LSU defence were both amazing but who managed to score on who's defence? Alabama won that competition! @David Irish Saban has gotten Bama to the point where they can recruit according to position need at the time. He has the best program and the best track record, so the best players want to go there. They know that they'll get the best preparation for the NFL there. As for technique, I really appreciate how the players downfield block for those receivers. If you pay attention, you'll see RBs and linemen 30-40 yards downfield blocking for the receivers and helping them to avoid tackles.

I know people keep saying this might be Saban's best team, but this LSU secondary was top-flight and totally lived up to billing. (So impressed with the Tigers!). I'm trying to think of another college team I've seen that could stand up to these guys. I thought '87 Hurricanes, but they never faced a secondary like this. As a lifelong Alabama fan this is the most complete and impressive win under Nick Saban. The only team that can play with Alabama is Clemson. I believe Alabama vs Clemson will be the first undefeated title game in the CFP and maybe the best title game match up ever. Even better than USC vs Texas. The hype is there. Alabama is 50-3 with 2 titles and Clemson is 49-4 with 1 title the last 3 seasons plus. If some think Alabama could be the greatest team of all time it's going to be hard to win that argument. The same season you have Clemson who some thought have the greatest D line in college football history going into this season. Take Alabama out and Clemson could have 3 straight titles going for 4. I would say at least 2. This match up is so incredible because of how complete the 2 teams are. Clemson is very balanced and explosive. Trevor can spin the ball like Tua. I know Tua has the better touch but Trevor has the stronger arm. He throws harder than all the top young NFL QB's today. Both teams have the best WR cores in college football. I don't think the Clemson secondary will be surprised. I think the Alabama O line can hold up at times with the Clemson D line and running the ball will be the key for Bama. Clemson knows Bama will play to shut down the explosive running attack that Clemson has. Alabama has a better trio of backs but Travis Ettiene might be the best back in college football. It comes down to a QB that can see over any O line in Lawrence. Trevor is the only QB in college football that can hit throws without space. I see Clemson going a no huddle type of attack. I usually don't care for any other programs but I met Clemson fans in Glendale at the title game. Their great people. Very Humble. Clemson's dominance is being overlooked which bothers me. Remember Saban has lost once in a title game to Dabo. I believe neither prefer to see each other unless it's for the title. If Clemson beats Alabama then you have 2 dynasties going at the same time which I have never witnessed in my 40 plus years watching college football. It's not Alabama and the rest of college football. It's Alabama. Then Clemson. The rest of college football. If we lose to Clemson this year than it's easy to move them side by side. This game makes me nervous but I'm pulling hard for it. We might be watching the biggest collision course of all time. USC and Texas was ONE YEAR. This is 4 years. This will be an ESPN 30 for 30 no matter what. The Clemson Tigers have EARNED my respect as the only other true Elite right now. I look forward to watching a showdown that College Football desperately needs this season.

Tua was already the Heisman favorite before this game, and nobody else is anywhere close to him, no matter what he did against LSU. With a 9-0 record, 28 TD passes, 1 interception, and averaging almost 50 points a game, he's already done enough to win it. Having said that, individual awards have never been something that Bama seeks. They play for team championships.

Bama Receivers were being held on a number of plays... Ref just let them play. Ref realized LSU needed some help to stop Bama, that's why they didn't call any on Bama too. LSU offensive line were holding too, and the refs just overlooked it because Bama were practically kicking their asses. No offense. No quarterback for the next level of Championship football. This was my honest opinion. Don't get me wrong, LSU defense is better than average, but no quarterback. Little Joe was too scared to do anything, he was over matched. You guys need a dual threat quarterback to match up with Bama on the next level. That's why coach O was in Alabama to recruit. He knows his teams need for next year. Coach O is honest.

I completely forgot about the Championship game too, as it is crazy to think that they would not score a single point in that game, but that is a testament of how powerful Bama was.
