Thank you for the tip about elevating the fabric! It makes sense, but I probably would not have thought about it, and none of the other videos mention it. Great tip!

Great video. A simple idea but highly effective. I've been looking for idea's for patchwork squares. Thank you.

I want to try this again with a higher percentage alcohol. My results were good using 50% rubbing alcohol yet I like your technique much better. Thank you.

How do these beautiful creations do in the washing machine? Do they stay or do they bleed on the blankets and clothing they are washed with?

Di I need to set the colors on my t-shirt so it won't bleed or fade? How would I do this?

Yes, once the sharpie ink is completely dry you can heat set it with a hot dry iron (no steam) and wash the fabric with cold water. That should do the trick!

whats the name of the circle fabric strecher you used to keep the fabric in place?

+Dani Castro This is called a quilting hoop. You can purchase them in all kinds of sizes at your local craft store. The one in the video is about 16 inches and about 1 inch thick.

It's not water... it's Alcohol (rubbing alcohol)

will that stay on fabric? even after machine washing and dryer?
@BrandyLynnMaslowski9 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's permanent marker, and not removable even if you accidentally get it on your clothes.

Brandy Lynn Maslowski Hi Brandy. I machine washed my T shirt after letting it cure for 8 hours for safety. When the T shirt was dry I was disappointed as the colors had really faded. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hello i would like to use ink/sharpies or alcohol dye spray on sheer/organza...woud you know how to make sure the paint sinks in? thank you
@QuilteronFire7 жыл бұрын
Hi Joanna, I'm sorry I've never tried it on organza but it is very permanent on fabric. I recommend you try it on a few scraps to see how it stays. If the fabric is too delicate to press try using a pressing cloth.

you mean permanent with water only? thank you hon
@QuilteronFire7 жыл бұрын
Well it's permanent marker that spreads with the alcohol but once it dries and you press it with an iron then it is permanent when you wash it. So yes. It should be permanent with water. Have fun!
