It's pretty gross. Mike planted his flag that Achane would be a bust (compared to draft ADP) and can't acknowledge that he's wrong. Achane played great and was efficient until Tua went out...yet most of what Mike talks about is negative. It seems like he's rooting for an injury to support his projections (which are based on a sample size that is way to small). Mike's onscreen personality is insufferable.

Comments like that make me understand why some of the players hate fantasy football. These guys typically only have a few years to play professional ball, celebrate their success - even when it proves your projections/bias wrong.

He begrudgingly said that Achane's success is because of others injuries - never mentions or talks about his talent. Any unbiased person watching that part of the segment can tell that Mike is not happy with Achane's success, which Mike said he doubts will continue because he will get injured.

I have Andrew’s and likely . I think I’m going to start likely high risk high reward let’s gooo!! He looked explosive 3 red zone targets in week 1, plus a long TD. Andrew’s was getting schemed out, but he looked slow off the line . Definitely a decoy for week 1. I think that might carry over until he gets up to speed after his car accident and missing time in preseason .

No way Achane is able to keep that up without Tua. Until the backup proves he can launch down the field to Waddle and Hill, Defenses will load the box a little more to stop them from establishing a run game… he gonna have to get his off dump offs 😬

Achanes probably the only one who has a chance of holding his points. He catches short passes for huge chunks of yards. Hill will still stretch the field, leaving mid field more accessed. Don't get me wrong, I don't think you're completely off base, I just think Achane may be the lone dolphin who doesn't just drop in value.

The maim reason so many lanes were open up front was because the box for miami is usually light - via the back 4 (where most of the speed & agility is) worrying about Cheetah and waddle. Also, achane isnt built to be a workhorse back. no way he last all season. esp late in the szn when the ff playoffs start

You can tell Achane's success is upsetting to him. Why else would he say "Yeah, no thanks" when asked about him? Get Mike Clay out of here. I understand being wrong, but being visibly upset at a players success, because it proves your projections wrong...is beyond petty. A players successful game should be celebrated more than your fantasy projections. Mike has always lacked onscreen charisma and is now petty enough to avoid talking about players that prove his projections wrong - get him off camera.

it wont be consistent. youll see. that passing game taking a step back, with that Tua injury, will show u. less attention on the pass means defenses can now pay a little more attention to stopping the run. Also, Achane is still a little dude. he's not built to be a workhorse back

Comparing Lamar vs the CHiefs to Joe vs the CHiefs makes little sense. Mainly because Lamar Jackson still doesnt know how to consistently throw the ball/Joe is a much better passer.
