Solid Johnny Mathis auto and love the story that goes with it. Keep Grinding! 😀👍

Would love to see a video if you could on those that you sent to COMC that don't make the grading pile, whether there is profit to be made on the COMC side
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
Good call! I’ll try to sprinkle that info into my future dcsports87 pickup vids 👌 So far it’s looking like I’m still making 15-20% off of those in the reject pile on COMC. But the true test will come soon (I sent in nearly 100 of these raw cards to dcsports87….gonna be very interesting to see if they sell higher than what I paid) 🤪

Dude, that Curry Optic Orange /49 is sick, especially for $14?!?! I have the Shai and Lebron in Orange, they look so good in hand! I got the Shai for maybe $20 and Lebron was $30ish off DCSports too, maybe people were put off by the 8.5? Awesome card regardless 👍
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
You got a great deal on the Shai and Lebron too! I love the look of them. Yeah, people hate the 8.5. But I like em…so many possibilities

Hey, got a question for you on the business side. What % of your sales are you investing back into your business vs. taking out of the business? Seems like it would be easy to not take money for yourself without some guard rails and a budget.
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
My business methods are kinda just basic and unorthodox. I don’t worry about percentages. I keep a little safety net in my bank account at all times (that should never fluctuate always remain the same 🤞), and after I pay the mortgage and any bills, whatever is left, I put all of that into cards and grading fees 👍 Thanks for always watching my content! Hi You buy on dcsportscards and where else? How can one do a seller search on eBay?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I do buy a lot from dcsports87, but I also but from: Probstein123, bigboydsportscards3, tntnorthnj I’m the eBay search bar, just type in a seller name correctly, and then a ‘search for user’ will pop up, click that and it should pull up that seller. Thanks for watching 🙌

Do you have to pay for shipping for every single one?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
Nope, that’s what’s so great about buying from these big consigners 👍 And dcsports87 seem to have the best combined shipping deal. It’s pretty much buy up to 40 cards for only $8.95 total shipping cost 👌

Goof stuff and info as always. My only gripe with DC, the lack of tape onto of the holder. They need to go back to that. Bags are never enough.

Fun orders there. I don't think I saw any that I either bid on or even saw when I looked so the fishing spot is definitely well stocked. I just got two orders in from DCsports and they shipped together but still charged be 2 shipping fees. I messaged them and got one refunded. Happy about that and hopefully in the future can avoid having to message and just get one refunded before shipped.

When you list these, do you set a price and forget it, or do you ever adjust your pricing if something doesn’t sell? Thanks!
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I usually set a price (always have a best offer option) for 3-6 months, then if things aren’t selling I either create a store 20-30% off sale, or manually edit the price of each listing 👍 I appreciate the good question and watching my content!

I have had low success with buying raw on dcsports. Consignors feel like a dumping ground for flawed cards. Am I wrong?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I don’t feel buying raw from the big eBay consigners are any worse than anywhere else. I think these vids I’m making prove that 50% are flawed and 50% are good 👍 I think those numbers are on par and reasonable 🤙 Thanks for the comment and watching!

what is the best way to resell the cards??
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I’m currently testing some theories out, but so far COMC is the best way to go 👍 But if you do card shows, setting up a table might be a viable alternative too

What do you suggest doing here? Ordered a very nice CJ Stroud that came in with a massive print line in the front. We're talking World War II trench sized line here... went back and looked at the listing, it was described as near mint or better, no mention of the print line, and the seller took the card, but penny sleeve on top, then put in a mag holder to hide when taking photos. Shouldn't this should fall well within the "item not as described," category?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
Yes, definitely ‘item not as described’. I would just request/open a return 👍 I hope the seller is understanding about it

Nice job. Love that Griffey hammer card! For the cards that are gradeable but not immediate, is there a certain profit margin that you are looking for before you grade and sell?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I love that Griffey hammer too 👌 I think it has a shot at a mint 9. Also, good question! Before I decide to grade and sell a card, I usually make sure the value in a mint 9 for that card is at least equal to the grading fee and cost I paid for the card. And the gem mint 10 value is at least 3x the grading fee and cost I paid for card 👍 Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching the vid!

Big fan of your vids (esp the predicted grade vs actual grade ones)! I’m curious as to what you budget for your auction-bidding every month and what % return you hope to get off that number. Thanks!
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I wish I could give you numbers, but honestly, I don't set a budget for my auction bidding. I can't because I never know which or how many items I will win on any given night. If it feels like I'm spending too much when I look at my bank account, then I just take a few days off or a week off from putting in any bids. And my return percentage is always a hopeful 100% return. May take a few years to get what I want for certain items but that's usually my goal. Thanks for watching, great questions!

What makes you grade a certain player now vs grading later down the road?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
Great question 👍 It mainly has to do with value. If the market on a certain player or set is strong then I grade as soon as possible. For example if a player makes the hall of fame, team is playing well, there is lots of competition building a set, certain documentaries coming out, the buzz right before a new season starts 👍 And on the lower end stuff I usually grade the already proven players. The lower end still fairly unproven players I just tuck away in a box until they have proven themselves over time. Thanks for watching!
@johnstone38885 ай бұрын
How do you search on DC? Do you search for specific players, or go page by page?
@littlevictoriessportscards1975 ай бұрын
I usually just go page by page 👌 If I’m short on time then I’ll search by year. And search each year from 1986-2019. This eliminates all the ultra modern stuff. Thanks for watching!
