i agree with this vid, and as far as personal techniques go, I've found that giving a voice to a subject helps in retaining the material. for example, i'm reading a book by stroustrup about c++ programming, so i watched a video about him to memorize his voice and then read his book using that voice. since i tend to be kind of auditory when it comes to learning, this tech helps me a lot. i also try to spend money on some material things that are incorporated in the subject. like a dry erase board

1. weekly and daily schedule ( to know when to stop work ) 2. deep processing level of words and info ( better for retaing information x2 than superficial processing , even if the same amount of time is used .)

Wow, unknowingly, I've always used this technique. Glad to see someone like you also use that. Thanks for introducing to the extra concept 'depth of processing', I need to work on that.

Have a weekly to do list, have a daily to do list and don't do more after you're done.

How do you come up with realistic goals within the Weekly Daily Goals system? I have tried something like that but I always set my goal for what I would like to complete in a day but can't continue the system if I get stuck and am not able to finish the goal. If my goal for the day is to complete 5 practice problems but I get stuck on number 2, how do I reset my goals and not let the whole thing drag out and push into the next week?

Hi Scott, I personally found the green chair a little distracting, however I would also like to know where you got it, as I found the general design very aesthetic. Do you know if they come in other colours?
