UGA was playing with nothing to lose in the second half by going for it on 4th down every series and going for two every time they scored. How different would games be if every team ran their offense this way all the time? It would change how you call plays on 3rd down knowing you are going for it on 4th down every series. If they were not that far behind this type of approach wouldn't have happened. UGA should have grown a lot from this game and Bama should have as well.

I like Georgia and Kirby especially for what he did at bama but Pollack saying Georgia is a better team is not accurate. Bama has won 9 of the last matchups. Kirby is 1-6 against bama. Huge respect for the dogs though.

I don't feel like this game told us that much. Did Bama go prevent mode and not be aggressive in the second half? Or did Georgia make plays that Bama couldn't stop regardless in the second half and started coasted to soon? Bama also did not try and bleed the clock

They played super conservative in the 2nd half and GA got a couple lucky breaks. The perfect mix for a comeback however Bama is ready

I can respect saying don't overturn the call, but the side view of the replay shows the ball moving as soon as the VT receiver hits the ground and he never regains it. I personally don't think he ever had full possession.

Pollack cmon dawg. Alabama outgained UGA and had double the penalties. You can point to the turnovers but UGA effectively had an extra down to work with the whole second half. Kinda sad to come out of it saying uga thought they were the better team. Win the game then .GTFOH

Naw Georgia made way more mistakes than Alabama did like it wasn’t even close. Georgia didn’t just turn the ball over they turned the ball over multiple times in key moments of the game. Ain’t no way Georgia while playing that bad should of been able to come back from 28 down on the road and take the lead. Everything went right for Alabama for the most part. If Georgia doesn’t have 4 turnovers or even one or two less they win that game with all of the other mistakes they still made. Alabama isn’t going to play much better than they did tonight as far as ceiling. Georgia however has ALOT to improve upon. And if we keeping a bean it was the coaching staff not having a good game plan at the beginning of game.

@@cashjunkycashjunky I disagree Carson threw one right to the Bama receiver and the last one Carson threw should of thrown it deeper toward the out of bounds area of the endzone where only his receiver could get it. Georgia also missed alot of catches that touched their receivers hands. Bama wasn’t even blitzing Carson like that especially not in the second half. Carson imo was just in his own head. But nevertheless whether they were forced or not Georgia turned the ball over way too many times to have come back from a damn near 30-point deficit. To me this illustrates Georgia has a wider margin for error. I don’t think Bama wins if they had 4 turnovers.

David - as a defensive expert, why can UGA not consistently set the edge? Especially to the Jack side. I think it is personal (Chambliss) but other friends of mine think it is scheme. What is the problem?

I genuinely think Kentucky is a top 15 team with the exception of the O-Line. But unfortunately that O-Line is so bad (in passing situations) that Brock has no time to throw. And I hold nothing against Brock this year because of the poor Offensive Line

Alabama outgained Georgia both overall and on the ground. Alabama won time of possession, yards per rush, turnovers and 3rd down efficiency. Georgia won 4th down and that's all. To say Georgia is the better team is to ignore the evidence which isn't surprising here. At some point Georgia with Smart will be 2 and something against Alabama and Pollack will declare Georgia the greatest program in the history of college football.... 1-6 and Georgia was the better team all 6 times 🤣 .

He was the second highest receiver on his team against mid Michigan State who lost to Boston College last week. Ryan Williams is a freshman who should still be in high school and just had 6 receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown (game winner) against UGA. Let’s talk about him instead

Two injured players for Alabama changed the game in the second half. One DB and one receiver who blocks like a demon. For whatever reason, that got Alabama out of their game plan and they couldn't adjust to the same offensive formation from Georgia and same base defense from Georgia for almost a half. As an Alabama fan, that is very concerning.

Secondary still needs a lot of work but we did great on stopping the run on the Dawgs! This should've been a blowout but are team is gelling and getting better every week....this D will improve and become elite. Milroe is the x factor and Williams is a stud!
