mistake, it is given P(Electronic Detection | Manual Detection fails) = 0.8, tutor is considering it as P(Electronic Detection)

By the way , if anyone else have same doubt : Reason - bcz othe electronic checking happens after the manual one , that is we cannot proceed directly to electronic one This means electronic checking is dependent on manual checking When this kind of cases happens in which events are mutually dependent on each other , we use multiplicstion and when both the events do not have any thing common , we use addition if still didn't get it , watch any lecture of any youtube video , you will find this explanation in their first lecture and don't worry if you are facing problems in probability , even we jee students also have still doubts in a lot of concepts of probability , even after getting into IIT Thats true btw

THEY BOTH ARE INDEPENDENT EVENTS, HENCE TO FIND INTERSECTION OF BOTH PROBABILITIES , WE HAVE TO MULTIPLY. I HOPE THIS HELPS
