@AmericaRevere6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've kinda fallen off the past couple months :( Really want to get back into it, as I feel it is super important! I think it was just being in a relationship and eating out a lot at non-vegan friendly restaurants that left me more prone to picking things with cheese/milk, and then I'd try sushi and then it escalated from there. :/
@hella-annb.2106 жыл бұрын
I see, we all fall off the wagon sometimes, especially as busy med students... I'm sure you're gonna get back into it soon and that's the most important, after all! I bet you're gonna inspire "mystery man" as well, we could definitely use more responsible and fit doctors that actually have a clue about nutrition and it's effects! Love you ❤️

America, I'm starting medical school soon and I wanted to know at what point do you become desensitized to cutting into a human body and all the grossness?
@nickchezum10886 жыл бұрын
L I️ took anatomy in community college and we did cadaver direction and I’d say about two/three weeks in but that was only two days a week so probably after the second week
@callisonroberts53886 жыл бұрын
I think once you start actually cutting into the body it is very different. When the body is whole it can be hard and sad but once it begins to be dissected you see it more as a learning tool.

Did you find lab anatomy disturbing at first? Would be interested to know if your perspective on it changed over time!
@yordlop6 жыл бұрын
I am not America (obviously), but I will share my experience from undergraduate level anatomy/dissection labs. I have seen responses ranging from getting right into the dissection with little to no visible hesitation (that was the case for me - it really didn't bother me) to outright shock and refusing to touch the cadavers even with nitrile gloves, and making facial expressions I could only describe as a mixture of worry and nausea/disgust. By the end of the course, everybody became fully accustomed to there being skinless, partially dissected human bodies in the room (you don't get as used to the smell, though), and the fact that they were recently living people became sort of an afterthought - even when extracting the brain! Anatomy lab affords some really interesting insights into both the scientific and philosophic aspects of the human body, as it forces you to confront what you are physically made of in a way that is more real and tangible than I could have otherwise imagined. Anyway, that's been my experience, but I would also love to hear America's!

hi america. i was wondering if you knew the answer, but if you have a mole thats weird and craggly (not a round shape), and it’s not bigger than 1/4 a cm, would it be malignant?
