Lauryn, thank you for posting this. I’m currently going through a hard phase with my 18 month old. Sometimes it feels so lonely, as if we’re the only people in the entire world going through this difficult phase. I know it’s silly, but it’s truly how I feel some days. My toddler has days where he will whine all day, morning to night. So I truly understand what you’re going through. You’re doing so amazing! Mom of 2 under 2, only a super mom could handle that. I know there are more good days than bad days. But while going through the bad ones, they feel like they overweigh every other day. We know that’s not true, but your feelings are so valid. My daughter is the same age as your son and ever since daylight savings her sleep is totally out of wack. She has been waking up an hour earlier than usual and napping 1 hour instead of 2 throughout the day. This too shall pass! i know you totally didnt ask for my advice, but what helped my boy was watching the sunset outside, then coming back in with very little lights/ a red light until he was in bed. This helps reset their circadian rhythm and get back in line with their time zone. You may already be doing this, but thought id mention because it changed our lives and now its a daily thing we do as a family. 🤍 youre doing great!
