The wet to dry straightener gives me PTSD to the conair one back in the day just sounds like a ton of extra damage to me I would be careful with it I would say start with it mostly dry, it will prevent extra damage, similar to the blow dry brushes and the air wrap you don’t want to start with it soaking wet

of course you def dont want it soaking wet! i did a lower heat setting for when it was wet, and started with towel dry hair.

For the wifi issues - next time bring an ethernet cable with you to plug into the router if you're having issues! I WFH and do this whenever I'm working out of an AirBNB or something where I'm not positive about the internet reliability.
