Thanks for watching! Can you believe Canada forces you to take days off🤨 maybe I want my labor to be exploited…did they ever think of that? CAPITALISM BABY 🦅🦅🦅 lol If you want to join Melton, and support my Lamborghini collection apply here 👉 intelliapp.driverapponline.com/c/meltontrucklines?r=IanElbert

How did you make your decision to go with melton ? Did you go with them cause they called first or did you do homework ?
@mattdarwin64975 ай бұрын
Just got my Melton truck last week. My first load was a 3 layer 3 stop Ameristar 😂 Definitely a learning curve, but I’m learning quick.

My very first load was a 3 stop Ameristar too haha. It wasn’t pretty but it got done in the end, stay safe out there!

I hate those loads 😂. Especially multiple stop tarped loads

@@ianelbert I think it’s the final phase of the new hire hazing process 😂 My next load after Ameristar was ridiculously easy

Hey Ian I wanted to ask if you think it's possible to maintain health and feel good when trucking. Do you have any tips to share? I really want to do what your doing too but Im just not sure if there will be time for going on walks and exercising

Hello, do you know if they have yard hostlers ?
@fredrick89475 ай бұрын
Bro how’s melton is about drivers with headsets because ik TMC have a no cell phone policy or some like that and I can’t do that I gotta have my headset
@ianelbert5 ай бұрын
I don’t have one myself, I just use my AirPods for phone calls so I don’t know for sure. But I’ve seen other melton drivers with them so I assume it’s fine
@fredrick89475 ай бұрын
@@ianelbert ok thanks bro because at first I was against drivers facing cameras because I thought they sit and watch u all day
@ianelbert5 ай бұрын
@@fredrick8947 ah yeah, no with the ones we have they’ll only see it if it gets triggered by something. Either really hard breaking, or a collision… or a really bad pothole lol. I’ve never had issues with it

dang you go up to Canada that's cool man!
@ianelbert5 ай бұрын
It’s cool the first time lol. We do get 6CPM extra for Canada loads though so it’s not so bad. Just dealing with customs and border traffic is annoying

I'm looking at Melton and the recruiter is saying it's 2 weeks out 2 days home. But you have been out a month? Are you choosing not to go home, or are you staying out because you have to?

I was out for 4 months, but yeah only because I chose to be

Hey Ian I’ve been watching you since you first started with Melton, I’ve been thinking about applying but I had a question about training. Does melton do team driving “training” or how does training work? Thank you! Stay safe out there! 🙂
@ianelbert5 ай бұрын
Thank you! When you’re with your trainer you both sleep and work at the same time. That way they can be hands on with training and really teach you what you need to know for securing and everything.

Nice vid bro 🔥🔥🔥 How many days a week do you run at melton, and how many hours you typically work a day?😊
@ianelbert5 ай бұрын
It all depends on the delivery schedule. But most of the time I’ll work 7-10 hours a day, 7 days a week. But my weekend days are usually shorter, 5-6.5 hours of driving typically. And I also have my fair share of 14hr+ days, those typically happen when a shipper or receiver is super slow.
