I have gone through so much pain and suffering, yet your videos helped me a lot in that time. Especially on days when i did not feel alive, they brought so much peace and smile on my face. Linda, This video came at such a perfect time. I'm currently a senior in hs and the uncertainty and pressure I feel for this year is taking up so much of my time. It reminds me of the quote that although education and work allow us to make it through this world, relationships, food, exploration, hobbies, nature, etc are the reason why we live. Happy running, eating, and living, thank you for your wisdom ❤

I recently discovered your channel and its been very eye opening and relatable in terms of overworking and burnouts. I graduated with my bachelors in fall 2022 in hopes that 2023 I would start my law school journey. Last year was probably one of the worst years of my adult life. I'm 27 and I feel powerless and lost. I was use to doing the next thing and constantly being busy that I forgot it was okay to slow down. I wanted to change things this year and set a different tone on how I treat myself. Your words at the end helped me realize that I was comparing my success with others and I lost who I was along the way. I'm did a career switch over to becoming a professional chef and today I was actually accepted to culinary school. It feels scary to walk into the unknown, but who knows--the best things can happen without having the plan everything out. Much of luck and happiness to you this year!

I believe that whether you’re in your 20s or at any age, it's essential to give yourself time. I've faced significant challenges with my social life, work, relationships, and self-confidence. But I've realized that this time has allowed me to truly be myself and become more aware of life. Watching “That Girls” often made me feel like something was wrong with me, but life consists of both good and bad days, and each day contributes to who we are. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re wasting time; if your 20s aren’t filled with fun, that’s perfectly okay. Trust me, my 20s were difficult. You're doing a great job girl ❤

I have been watching this video, and it just speaks to me so much. For someone whose just a month away from my last prelims in Medical school and someone who had a burn out last year, I have struggled to find my footing between taking care of myself while also studying for medical school and not feel guilty every time I take a break. I have also been struggling with my weight, so, just a lot of things on my plate. It just feels that over time I have lost pieces of myself stressing over things. Thanks for reminding us all that we are the main characters of our story, and there is no point doing something if it's not fulfilling you, it's not only OK to take breaks but is imperative for our over all well being. One of the things I have done this year is to take my one holiday which is a Sunday very seriously. Until an year back I would try to fit in as much study as I could even on those days. But now I make sure to take that day off, even just sleeping through most of the day, cause exhaustion is a real thing and one should honour one's body enough to take rest. Thankyou again❤

I can't stress how good your videos make me feel. It's like you always exactly what I need to hear. As an anxious student who got to relax before and during Christmas vacation and whose life is turned upside down because I'm in the beginning of a relationship, I felt happy just slowing down and doing less. I realized I could be so happy even while not being "productive" and it is changing me and making me question my desires. The second semester starts in two days and it made me very stressed but just knowing that studying seriously is enough and that I don't have to put 100% of my energy into reaching for the perfect grades is helping. I am a perfectionist who always compares herself and I and was sometimes too judgmental of people that "didn't do enough". But you're right. Living is hard enough already. Let's not put even more pressure on ourselves. I resonate a lot with you saying that there is no perfect life, just the one we live. I want to become more detached and content with my simple existence and your video is helping :)

i feel ya cause i used to be so harsh and always try to do everything perfectly before i realise i have a 100% to give each day, so i cannot give only a 100% to only studying and neglect the other amazing things in my life as a student myself i feel ya so deeply something that helped me a lot was starting my youtube channel where i love sharing the things that have helped me through out my years studying abroad hoping ot inspire other people i think you would love the messages if u want to check them out, i also recently just uplaoded one, and ur support would mean a lot to me

Thank you for talking about OCD, it's been a journey for me. People do not always understand the more "'intrusive thoughts" side of OCD. Sometimes we only imagine the "cleaning" side. Speaking up is important !

such powerful and beautiful words Linda, THANK YOU for sharing your thoughts with us! hearing that there is someone else who sees/feels the world&life like I do means so much to me 🥹

love your videos. It's a good reminder... I def have this habit of saying I NEED to get a new car this year and buy a house by 40 because if not my parents will think they failed as parents since I'm not successful. Sometimes we just have to stop measuring what a successful life is from what society dictates. And focus on what makes us happy. ❤

this is literally so true, this is why i am choosing 2025 to be the year i start focusing on my own happiness over others i am actually uploading a youtube video later today about this and how to make 2025 ur best year yet if u want to check it out ur support would mean the world to me

I’ve been so sickk all winter break and I’ve had trouble with the fact I’ve done “nothing” but just lay in bed and mossy around not doing anything productive, I’ve felt so so lazy and unproductive. I feel so guilty on not doing anything but you’ve helped me realize it’s ok not to have everyday be so productive and I’m doing something by allowing myself to body to recover before school. I appreciate so much!! Your video rlly helped me❤
@oxanadc15 күн бұрын
first i hope u feel better second u have not been unproductive, allowing ur body to heal is the most productive thing u can do everyday is filled with opportunity if u want some more motivational content i make some youtube videos about the importance of rest and productivity that i know u will love as a student as well and ur support would mean a lot to me
