That is NOT the synopsis of Kim Ji-young that I have heard! Like at all. What the heck?? I've seen "housewife suffers from depression and sexism" and I've even heard people talk about it after reading it and it didn't sound anything like you described. I wanna read it even more now, thanks

No no no. It’s exactly how you heard it to be. It was misguided with the synopsis because I read it and it is not at all how the plot turns out to be. It’s not horror or a thriller. It was still an important read but I just wasn’t in the mood for a deep dive with it’s themes that I just felt overwhelmed. It’s an important read but it’s not what you expect. Just know that if you’re a mood reader it’s going to be in a different direction than what you thought.

It’s definitely written in the style of a biography but her symptoms are so out of the ordinary that it’s really keeping me on my toes!

I read 1982 and…. It’s a bit of a catfish. It’s an extremely important read but it’s not crazy with supernatural or thriller elements that was marketed in the synopsis. I was chill with the book but I just felt like I was tricked just a tad😅

I think since I was kind of in the mood for a biography it’s hitting the spot for me, I know it’s fiction but I’m not expecting any kind of fantasy to happen. here for the super peculiar symptoms though, very interesting!
