Just hearing He-man intro brings a smile to my face 😀 That was my absolute favorite until GI Joe started talking over!! Cartoons and toys!! Playing while watching the Cartoons and seeing commercials for the newest toys!! I was stuck indoors most of my childhood due to my handicap but considering it wasn't bad because we had the best TV Cartoons movies toy's video games and everything in between. Music came in as I got older but again the greatest music from the greatest decade. I still watch the He-man Christmas special every year!!

I’m an 81 baby, born in the Summer…I would have been 4 here…but I REMEMBER VIVIDLY these cartoons and the episodes ALL THESE YEARS LATER! With GI Joe, Transformers, and Thundercats. It helps that they all got releases early in the 2000s with DVDs…and channels like The Hub kept them on the roster…also through the 90s I picked up all the old tapes when they went on sale for really cheap so I would watch them sometimes on the weekend in High School if Imdidnt have something to do…it was a nice little keeping up with my childhood back when nostalgia wasn’t cool like today.

I don't know what was the bigger 'blast from the past'. All the cartoons I fell in love with as a kid? The cartoon-themed commercial break/return notices? Or all the nostalgic commercials themselves?! Speaking of the commercials...... looking back at them now, I can't believe some of the products being passed off as 'toys'! Baby dolls for prepubescent little girls to get a taste of the 'single mom' dream life. And don't get me started on that 'Get In Shape, Girl' one, either! 🤔🤣

At that time, I was growing up in Lake Isabella CA, and KECI was one of the stations we could get. With all of the commercials, this really takes me back! Gotta give them credit; whoever stored/restored these clips did an incredible job! The clarity of the picture is NICE!!!!

The early and mid 80 's were a great time to be a kid. Especially in 1985 l was 12 and first started watching robotech while l was in middle school. Robotech had a nastalgiaic and somewhat of a reassaiance about. I go to middle school and it was always in my head. The music characters just had feeling about it. The childhood memories and love for this show will always be there. Life was simple and peaceful back then compared to today's world. There will never ever be a great decade like the eighties. Thanks for posting and reliving and seeing my childhood from robotech to he man, transformers, gi joe and Voltron.

This is great. Only thing is the He-Man and She-Ra episodes are playing in British broadcast speed instead of American Broadcast speed. In the US, we wound up with the DVD sets where all the episodes are in PAL or British format 4% faster than they were when they were on TV in America (NTSC format) or on American VHS/Beta/Laserdisc back in the 80s. The original NTSC negatves were lost or discarded sometime in 2003 or 2004 when the Filmation Library of cartoons was sold by Halmark entertainment to Entertainment rights in the UK. A German Home Video/Media Company recently released the series on Blu Ray, but they fixed the playback speed issue on converted what they had to NTSC format before remastering the episodes for Blu Ray release. They also corrected the deleted scene issue from the very first episode. The only thing they forgot in this special collectors set is the Orko and Kowl Commercial Bumpers and the Pilot opening to the Diamond Ray episode. The Blu Ray set is region free, so it will play on any Blu Ray player. The bad news is that they only did a limited production run of the collectors set and it was discontinued last year. A few ebay delaers in Germany still have new copies left, but they run $500-$600 each not including shipping. I can't afford it now, but eventually I WILL HAVE THAT SET AT ANY COST. Then I'm getting rid of my DVD sets from 2005-2010.
