Thanks for the video! Also, what's spacing? Like, the distance between performers or the time between acts? Lol, I've never been near a stage, I just don't know😂

omg that's a great question! spacing rehearsal, or sometimes called blocking, happens the first time dancers or performers are in the space they will be performing in. this is when the director or choreographer tells where each dancer should go, how far they are from one another, and are making sure that the formation, or general shape, looks good. spacing is super important for dance or else you run the risk of people running into or hitting each other due to poor spacial arrangements or uncertainty of where to go!

i actually heard back a year ago today (march 13) funnily enough! you should hopefully be hearing soon, but if not definitely feel free to reach out to ccm! ccm’s a very busy and crazy place, so sometimes things get a little complicated lol. good luck, and hopefully we see you in the fall!!!

I actually heard back the same day I left my comment, it told me I was accepted and I was so excited, but then I read my letter again and realized they accepted me to the Bassoon program (I didn’t even know what a bassoon was until I read it). So something’s mixed up and I emailed them trying to figure it out, but haven’t gotten a response yet. Hoping it means good news though!

that's so silly omg. yea definitely email them, i'd suggest emailing ccm admissions in general and not the ballet department because the department can get kind of slow when responding to emails. still sending good energy your way!!!
