Lake Phalen Dragon Festival

According to Wikipedia, the Dragon Festival is a Chinese holiday celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese calendar which is late May/early June. But no matter, it is a tradition in St. Paul in July! Enjoy Free Asian cultural performances, kids entertainment and dragon boat races on Lake Phalen. The dragon boat races are an integral part of the Dragon Festival. So make sure you check those out while you are there!

Besides all the great food there’s live music, large lawn games & giveaways. Food available to purchase. And playtime at Choo Choo Bob’s from 10 am-5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday for a fee.
