Lol! Sorry I had to laugh when you guys were venting about the Boone Hall Plantation lady and that "she can't handle stress at all". 😃 So disappointing about the food. That's always one of the main things I look forward to on a trip. I still enjoyed watching the video, though!

I've never been to Charleston I'm from Alabama looks like a nice trip that lady was rude maybe just a bad day but definitely can ruin the experience hopefully you enjoyed the trip overall 😊

Haha that lady was just stressed for no reason and in the end, we just laughed about it. We still had a great time!

The best restaurants are sadly not downtown anymore, they were run out of the city by northerners and Californians with their fancy tasteless cuisine. you have to go on the outskirts for the authentic food.

I kinda heard that from our friend that grew up in Charleston as well. So sad😭 If we ever go back, we'll try the outskirts for sure.

@@travelpockets I dont wanna give away too many openly but here are a few widely known eats (by locals) if your ever back to Charleston. There a popular local soul food joint named Berthas is in a blue building just outside the city on whats known as "the neck" also Harvest Moon on Savannah Highway in Ravenel and another soul food spot is Nigels off highway 78 in Summerville (the Geechie wings are life changing) Also Music Man BBQ in Moncks Corner is pretty good. All these are not upscale like downtown (your feet may stick to the floor lol) but the food is amazing and the food is local, Lowcountry and southern to the bone.

LOL I don't want to put Charleston down but we have heard that the French Quarter area has really changed with food so a lot of locals actually eat outside of French Quarter and that's where all the good food is. Guess we went to all the wrong places😬

Ladies smh y’all went to the wrong places. Y’all would do better looking on TikTok for best places to eat in Charleston bc those weren’t it. None were authentic food. Give it another chance and go outside of downtown. Some places you may run across rude people with no patience go authentic.
