Lorne learned from his mistakes. He let Adam Sandler go too early, Chris Farley go too early, Norm too early. and the show hurt because of it. He has become more patient with the cast of wild comedians. He gave Pete time to grow. Love him or hate him Pete has a gift and something special about him comedically. Excited to see if he uses it to create funny stuff not under the shadow of SNL and NBC

In regards to Farley Lorne never wanted to let him go he wanted him to get clean and not go the way of Belushi 😢. Even tried to bring him back during a special and during an after show like panel with all of the old cast he was out of his mind high. Like less haha and more ok this guy is scaring me with his antics. No one loved him more than Lorne but you gotta remember what it was like during the time when Belushi died and now having basically the second coming of Bulushi going down the same road you can only do so much for someone who wasn’t ready to get clean.

Pete leaving is like when you’re favorite character in a tv show goes through a really cool and unexpected character arc, and some people don’t like them, but some people do, then at the end of the season, they die, but it’s a really good way to send their character off.

But I especially love that he thanked Lorne with such sincerity. Many alums feel the same way about Lorne, and it is nice to see Pete recognize him as he bids farewell. Pete is a great actor and comedian who will hopefully go far! Even if he is from SI! 😆🤣😂
