URGEBT - URGENT- URGENT Please take a minute to read this. First of all please read my comment from last week as well if you haven't already read it. As a former optician it was certain when you tired your friends glasses that you would be getting glasses as soon as you went for an eye exam. You apparently realized it as well because you did waste any time making an appointment .Just so you know it wasn't just a suggestion for you wear your glasses when driving. He or she was telling you that driving without glasses isn't an option but aa necessity. Anytime your told that by a medical professional that takes preference over everything else. So even though your driver's license doesn't have glasses as a restriction you are now restricted to only driving with glasses. Now hopefully you saw enough improvement when you tried on your friend glasses to make you not want to drive without glasses anymore when you get your glasses. You didn't say anything about getting prescription sunglasses but if you didn't you're going to have to tolerate wearing your regular glasses no matter how bright the sunlight is. You can't be taking off your prescription glasses and switching to your current non-prescription sunglasses. Everything else in regard to when you wear your glasses is your option. Personally I would suggest that if you want to see a movie at the cinema, or maybe a concert or play or a sporting event like a ballgame, you're going to see those things much better wearing glasses. But if you just don't want to wear your glasses for those things that's perfectly fine. You seem to be excited about getting glasses so I think you're going to probably wear them quite often. One thing you really can't do is wear your glasses too much. If you decide you like your glasses you may want to wear them all the time, and that's perfectly okay to do. If by now you haven't gone for your glasses yet you should make a point to ask for a copy of your prescription and also have them include your PD measurement as well. PD stands for pupil measurement and it's the distance between your pupils. The reason you should ask for these things is because if you didn't get sunglasses and want a pair rather than spending another $150.00 or more at Warby Parker you can get a really cute pair from numerous on-line glasses sites for as little as $13.00 in your prescription.
