Thank you for the great review. A few things to add, 32oz isn’t in the plans, but gallons are on the way by the end of the month. We called it wash and shine, not because it leaves anything on the surface ( it doesn’t) but because it allows your clean surface to shine through. As for the foaming, it’s not a requirement, but the addition of surfactants allowed for foaming. Yvan’s experience with rinseless washing is extensive, and he has been asked about foaming a Rinseless for decades. New advances in chemistry have allowed us to combine surfactants and polymers.

I used DIY Detail for the first time today on a very dirty car and found while it didn't have much of a visual effect in the bucket compared to P&S Absolute, it definitely was easier to clean the car and took away dirt in one pass. To add to that, I found the dirt released from the sponge (I'm using their Legacy Sponge as well) into the bucket instantly, vs the P&S which with heavier passes required some additional wringing. My sponge was clean after with zero stains even after working the tires and rims, which wasn't my experience with P&S. To add to that, while P&S was already a great value with using 1 oz to every gallon of water, DIY Detail's product is 1/2 oz to every gallon water. While the smaller bottle sizes aren't comparable, if purchasing the gallons for either, they are the exact same price ($65 CAD here in Canada). That means I get double the washes from DIY Detail's vs P&S. I also don't foam at all, and only use the product as designed, so I use significantly less than you used in the video here.

I live in a dusty area and the products that leave polymer behind collect a lot more dust than those that don't. N914 is good in this regard. 10min sealant is also very low dust and makes a good drying aid. Most water based drying aids collect dust at least here.

I'm using rinsless washes for about 2 months, the first wash was jaw dropping for me, as I never thought this is possible, my first rinsless wash was DIY and to this day I am amazed how well it cleans, I don't care if it leaves behind something, I've got ceramic and it performs well for now, washing every week or two, I'm trying absolute now but I am a little bit disappointed, it doesn't clean so well, sometimes leaves streaks, and I don't like the scent, it was a big letdown as I heard very good things, but P&S has some great products. I think I'm going back to DIY, but waiting for gallons sizes to appear in stock.

How was the cleaning power when you did the wheels and tires? They are talking about it having extra cleaning power as compared to other rinseless washes because of a higher surfactant content. If true, that plus the foaming capabilities makes it an appealing option for me in the winter as a presoak prior to pressure washing (either in my driveway or at the local pay and spray). If it is more effective for wheels and tires (as a maintenance product, not deep cleaning of a neglected vehicle), that would be interesting to me too. I'll probably pick up a bottle once they have 32 ounce bottles available. That said, I'm in 100% agreement with you that I think P&S Absolute is the current rinseless to beat. The more I use it, the more I love it.
@MikeGDetailing
@MikeGDetailing Жыл бұрын
I did use it to clean wheels. I felt it cleaned just as good as ONR and Absolute. I did not even pay attention if it was stronger or not as it just cleaned them up well. It does foam nicely though. I cleaned the tires separately with a Adams Tire & Rubber as I applied a layer of American Detailer Garage Unity Tire Conditioner to test out. I posted up a reel on my ig showing how it foamed on the wheel. instagram.com/reel/CjthZ9nDQZr/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=

I finally got around to trying the Feynlab rinseless and I’m absolutely shocked how well it cleans the paint. I might say it’s one of if not the best paint cleaner I’ve ever used including alkaline soaps. I didn’t think it was a great rinseless since it left a ton of residue on the glass and the drip marks from the mirror were nasty. Im keeping it in my arsenal for after winter washes I can’t believe how squeaky clean it got the nasty lower parts of the car that were covered in oily road film.

I'm currently using Carpro ECH20, I'm new to rinseless washes, I find ECH20 does everything right. The most important function of anything that is on the surface of the paint is lubricity. In the UK we value lubricity over foam in the sense of how well the product performs. Foam is just for aesthetics. If a product dries out we simply add more product. Anyway back to point, ECH20 encapsulates dirt particles well and leaves a decent gloss and slickness behind, no complaints. However I'm instinctively drawn to Absolute and Like what David has done with it, I really like P&S, it's readily available in the UK (thank god) and I simply think there is no better wheel and tyre cleaner as Brake Buster (it less aggressive and leaves a slight film then Adam's). So I think Absolute is the one to try when ECH20 runs out. I can't get DIY Detailing here yet!. Yvan has worked well on this, as I've seen his work on other channels and want to try this [rinseless wash] when/if I can.
@MikeGDetailing
@MikeGDetailing Жыл бұрын
Either EcH2O or Absolute would be a good option. EcH2O will give the better gloss due to the silica while Absolute will offer the most economical use due to the dilution.

Seems like a good product. But WAY too expensive when there are other great options that work just as well at the end of the day. Maybe if they come out with gallons if it is a better price per ounce might be an option. Considering this is being made by and promoted for a major chemical manufacturer I’m surprised gallons aren’t already available. Foaming seems like a waste of the already expensive product. Takes way longer to spray the foam from the pump sprayer vs regular sprayer, and you have to pump it up way more. Thanks for the demo!
