Looks like you got the EEW 6.0 by Dreaming Robots. Maurice makes great e-spinners. I’ve got the smaller EEW Nano2 and absolutely love it. 8-9 months ago I hadn’t spun an inch in my life. Now I spin up a storm. All I can say is: Welcome to the rabbit hole. Just like knitting and crochet, each fibre, even each type of wool, each preparation feels different. It’s thoroughly addictive and it means you’ll be able to customise your yarn to the project you want to work up in knitting or crochet. Not just the weight and grist, but also the colour, whether it’s a woolen style fluffier spin or a worsted, smoother spin. In just 8 months I’ve learned so much… and I’m fast moving away from commercial yarns. I can now give myself the gift of more luxurious fibres for my knits because weight for weight, fibre is less expensive than yarn. My time, after all, doesn’t cost me a dime. I get to have exactly the yarn I want, in the quantity, quality and colour that I want, for the project I want to make. All I need is the willingness to invest the time. And it’s so relaxing. I wish you as much joy derived from spinning as I’ve been having.
