After being stuck inside all week, it was time to get my hammock out for a weekend trip in Colorado. Come along!

Ya. Constant, driving wind is a big motivation killer for me. I lived in Cheyenne WY for a number of years - always windy - very depressing. I think there are some medical studies supporting that.

I can relate to the need to get out into the beauty and quiet of the snowy woods, but in winter, I will sleep in a yurt or cabin, and eat something better than ramen noodles with wiener chunks. You’re quite adventurous, David. Enjoyed the video. ☺️

At home, and especially when I go to restaurants I'm actually a pretty discerning foody... made many waiters regret asking me how I like what I've been served. Ya, I'm that guy. But out here, there's nothing better than a hot dog charred over an open fire... bonus with a side of 25 cent noodles.

Yes, fatwood fire. The temp was just above freezing... so, not bad for CO. It'll get to the single digits this week. Winter storm blowing in tonight. Fun times!

@@DavidonEarth I've camped/hiked in that Buffalo Creek area before but never backpacked. I'm kinda new to backpacking but it's on my list to do some CT in that area. So beautiful and easy to get to. I'm rehabbing a knee, but I might hit you up for a hike in a few weeks.
