@skipkapur17 ай бұрын
Very helpful interview. I plan to start an initial position in XDTE for monitoring and learning purposes. Since inception, there is a slight NAV erosion while the S&P 500 has had a slight NAV increase. On a total return basis it's positive but ~50 basis points lower than the S&P500. 100% of returns are ROC, so tax efficient. All in all, worth evaluating further in my view.
@generalsupreemo97766 ай бұрын
I believe the manager said that none of the returns were ROC, at least so far.

Thanks, Adriano. You had a really good discussion with Dave; he didn't hesitate to answer any of your questions. Personally, I hold YBTC. I'm keeping an eye on the ODTE products, and once there is a bit more maturity and history, I will be able to decide between these two products.

I sold my QDTE and XDTE because the dividends were too inconsistent, I believe QDTE paid like .40 one week and dropped to .09 the next week. It looks like distributions got bigger again so I'll keep an eye on them because weekly payouts are perfect for everyone.
@Qpalzmcreehay8 ай бұрын
In the end how I see it, is that even though they pay every week.... It's best to gauge it every month. So what did you earn for the month would be better in knowing whether it's consistent or not. I personally wouldn't rely on these weekly. But monthly.
@RichardAkin-qj6xt8 ай бұрын
@Qpalzmcreehay I only had a few shares and wanted to get rid of something that was paying smaller dividends. I agree with gauging by the month that's a better way. Thanks for the reply

@luxuryqueen42 Weekly would be better if the fund is managed right. I have ETFs paying out on different weeks during the month, so I'm already getting weekly payouts. So Monthly does the job!

That was great! Adriano, can you do a video or if you've done one before (an updated video) of how the income generated from covered call ETF can continue for a long time? despite the nav potentially going down ( in certain ETFs) thus causing the fund mangers to call for a reverse split and decreasing potential dividend per share over time? I believe in retiring early and I do believe that this is a good vehicle to do it. However I feel like I am missing something of how the "money will run out".

Nice interview video Adrian! I love that you always ask the fund managers the tough questions. This give me a chance to observe how they respond before making a decision on whether or not I should put my hard-earned money into the fund. Weekly distribution is nice, even though the yield is not stable. It could be a nice secondary position for any covered call portfolio. If I add on Monday, then I will get paid by Friday.

It will be interesting to see if the lower overall distribution allows for lower Nav reduction. I would say the initial nav reduction is from the downward movement of the underlying. It has the entire COvered Call writing risk .. so how are you diff than anybody else? NAV can go down down down

Since may qqq has increased about 17 percent but Qdte has increased by 10 percent. The payout has reduced the gap but not to a significant. I can do better by buying qqq spend about 2% a month out of it.
