Weekly Homeless Encampment Clean-up in Venice

I feel for the residents in the beach front senior housing that live behind the window bars, locked gates and security cameras. Rather than peace and quiet, they have to live next to a continuous homeless encampment that Los Angles facilitates every week rather than shut it down. Fabian, I wish you would document how long it takes before the first homeless person returns and sets up a campsite or tent.

How about not letting it go a weekly before cleanup ,how about a daily cleanup to prevent setting up and encampments

Probably don't have enough workers to do a daily cleanup. Not exactly a job people are lining up to perform. Especially in this day and age where work ethics are at an all time low.

Yikes as always the homeless has to make this area in front of apartment building there camping ground when it’s not California keeps getting worse each day this problem never ends.

What a complete waste, to pay these people probably overtime or whatever to come out and do this, and its back to trashed the very next week. This is not job Security, its madness right next to brand-new buildings. The government actually buys these expensive tents, then come by and trash them, only to buy them MORE tents.

It's a bad situation on both sides. The homeless who are battling issues and the local residents who want a clean safe place to live and do business. Placing heavy objects, large dirt containers with plants on the side walk will keep tents from popping back up again. Hopefully, mayor Karen Bass will help those suffering homelessness.

They throw out a few carts in every episode instead of just pushing them aside cause they are going to go steal another one by days end.

I bet the bill we pay for these cleanups every week, every where in LA exceed what it would cost to house and offer the services needed to these people. But no, this has been going on for years.

You're paying people to clean up homeless peoples encampment. Why don't you cut out the middle men and pay the homeless people to clean it up? Then they have jobs. Then you can find them shelter. OMG, did I just solve homelessness?

Most of them work hard all day at getting high so they probably won't be interested in a job that actually requires labor.
