LOL. Why? How's this hard though? I've seen numerous boy groups put out much hard choreography. Shinee are immensely overrated dancers- I say this as someone who enjoys their music. Exo, Bts, infinite and NCT have all released better choreographys. So Shawol should really let go of the delusion that they're extraordinary dancers when Taemin aside, he's elite. The others are mediocre to average. Their comeback performances have been so lacklustre. They've been half-arsing their way just like in this video and the fans are too blind to this fact. Pathetic.

it's hard because of the distance they need to travel. As a dancer myself its reasonably easy to shorten the distance between steps to increase your speed. but that doesn't work if you have to travel. 😊

For the people who think this is an easy choreography: This is actually one of their harder choreographies, which is probably why they are doing this one. If you watched older fancams of them doing this live when they first made a comeback, you'll notice how hard it is for them to do. Notice how tired Minho is? It's not because they're out of shape (they perform 3 hour concerts with few breaks). These are huge dynamic movements where they have to freeze from broad sweeping movements, and they utilize a full stage. They also have to be super on point and move very quickly from one spot to another or the whole thing will fall apart. I'm sure they feel like they just did a really intense work out.

it's not an easy choreo, but during this 2x speed dance they frequently didnt put a lot of energy/effort (especially key) in it that makes the dance look a lot less vigorous that it usually is. The impressive part though was how they weren't out of sync especially during parts (and there were so many of those parts) they could fall out of sync so easily. Thats really amazing, but at the same time people tend to have simple mind, plus it's easy to judge unless they saw a lot of sherlock performances.

wow do people understand how HARD this dance is already WITHOUT A MEMBER MISSING?! this dance requires EVERYBODY to do a move every beat, which is why key was impressed when minho spun twice at 2:00 for onew's part to not confuse the rest of the viewers/members. even jonghyun did onews part at 1:47 and then went back to his pose. *LEGENDS* i'm astonished they danced to this and it looked in one piece. they have so much skill wow. it would look even more amazing with onew completing the moves that were missing :'( I get why this shinee dance was the most expensive dance for SM entertainment. *DONT FORGET: THEY ARE THE MAIN REASON WHY ALL KPOP GROUPS NOW HAVE COMPLICATED AND DIFFICULT DANCES* since 2008 they started and upped The dance game in kpop which why all your faves dances are amazing too so appreciate the founders bro ;) to me and ~the industry~: When you think of kings of kpop dance and live vocals as well as legendary choreography- *think SHINee*

But it's one of the characteristics that define SHINee, when something/someone is missing they'll put extra efforts as a team to make up for it and make it look perfect. I remember their Dream Girl performance when Minho broke the mic stand, I watched the video 4 freaking times to notice and I only watched for the fourth time because of a comment I saw. It's great really. Sometimes I think they must be speaking telepathically.

err why are some people here comparing SHINee to some other new / younger group? SHINee debuted in 2008, for god sake its their 9th year already, a veteran in kpop. Among the first group to grace the title of original idol of Hallyu wave. They dont need modern choreo. SHINee's Everybody is enough to top all of that. Just to note that, Sherlock is a very high pitched song. Basically the boys had to dance while singing at top of their lung. Most of their song have been high-pitched, complemented with creative + powerful choreography. It was all like that until SHINee returned with View and other comeback after that, most of their song has been a rather 'laid back and relax' kind of song. Why? Because SHINee did all what other new groups been doing now since Ring Ding Dong and Lucifer days, they dont need to do any of that anymore. SHINee never stick to one genre after all. They experiment new things each comeback and they are the only group to do that. What SHINee / Shawol need is, distinctiveness in each our boys' comebacks because that define who SHINee is. p/s: Forgive my long rant. I'm just an old kpop fan despite my young age if you get what i mean. If you ask me, I think Sherlock's not exactly SHINee best choreo but i do think its the most artistic, theatrical and beautiful. They have stories and the timing need to be perfect. But that running man choreo, is still crazy as it is.

Speaking as a dancer, if you have to do a dance with large, slow movements much more quickly than intended, it is necessary to make the moves smaller. SHINee are not half-assing. They are demonstrating the artistry of knowing how to balance size and speed so as not to sacrifice cleanliness. And they do a damn good job!

People are saying that the MCs reaction are too exaggerated but I don't think so. (BTW THIS IS MY OPINION SO YOU DONT HAVE TO AGREE) This is SM MOST EXPENSIVE DANCE. Is it fast? NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT SHINEE's fastest. But shinee is not about speed, it is about technique and the art behind it. Why would SM stupidly spent so much money on shinee when obviously EXO can also pull of a much fast dance. Because this dance is intricate and difficult in terms of technique. Stop comparing shinee to GOT7 or INFINITE. They are different groups with different strengths so what if shinee is HALFASSING this? Do you have to pull in the other groups in? Shinee still did well and so did the other groups who did this. Please stop comparing them.

i love that halfassig part haha. But the fact that they can actually 'halfass' it actually amazes me. They simply either dont care and just play around, or they just master it way too perfectly they dont need to put effort anymore, not in a bad way, after all it's for variety show. Either way it makes them stand out, because other groups always put everything when doing this, except shinee. It's amazing though how despite that they were on sync.

I remember reading comments where people said "oh my bias group can do this better than SHINee" Now I wonder how those people feel knowing that those types of comments might have been the reason why Jonghyun was so harsh about himself. That talented, amazing beautiful man has taken his life because he thought he just wasn't good enough and I am sure that comments like that are a factor. ppl need to understand one thing before they say this choreo is easy: shinee make it look easy. i think that's what set them apart from other groups. they make it seem so efortless but meanwhile they r in sync. even us as audience have a feeling that they just playing around. i must say they hv extremly good control in strength, dance +singing. they never show their tiredness when it's during the song, only it will hit right after they finish the song. that's why taemin will faint all of a sudden when the song end before. REAL PRO!

The things is, this song was released 4 years ago. Waaaay before some of the monster dancing idol groups such as BTS, Got7, seventeen etc even debuted. And back at those years, Shinee seemed to be a pioneer on difficult choreographies such as this one. If you think this choreography isn't special at all, Try and watch other old idol groups videos not the ones in present today which are mostly too manufactured.

Shinee IS a pioneer of difficult dances honestly, here they were just doing it for fun but i personally think that their choreography is one of the most difficult within kpop. Newer groups have this trend of doing a hard choreo in the chorus where there is a backing track and the rest of the song they are more or lesd quiet. SHINee have dynamic movements throughout the song

Thank you for explaining to these children who don't seem to understand. All these new groups with really complex choreography are really impressive, but sometimes, they can't sing that well. I have seen numerous girl groups use the same dance moves over and over. SHINee does not have to do all these new age dances to stay relevant. I cannot stand it when they keep comparing senior groups to new groups like they are supposed to be the same. It's so disrespectful. While these new groups were training, SHINee was out conquering the world, paving the way for them.

Louella Gabilino Exactly. They are trying to compare the Jackson 5 to New Edition. All these new fans care about is fast-paced dancing and not actually researching the path that these guys took to be where they are. Minho, who came into SM without knowing how to sing or dance, was able to keep up with his members. All the members lacked something, but it was through extreme handwork and dedication that persevered. I am not a fan of 3rd wave K-pop, but I do not leave nasty comments about any of them. I am not into BTS, EXO, etc. Their music is dope and I am sure that they are talented. I could have left SHINee alone years ago, but I stood by them because I recognize their talent.

I have so much respect for SHINee. This may not be their fastest dance but all of their dances are equally challenging. Sherlock requires lots of precision and they executed it well. Do you realize how difficult is this? I saw other groups dancing their own songs at normal speed and they coudn't do it some parts even the choreografy was easier (I think they forgot the dance because probably didin't practice for awhile) But SHINee's songs and that song are difficults and even by surprise they can dance 2x speed faster. And it was flawless, I'm just impressed how good they are
