Hurrah! The weekly comes out vaguely close to our target time of 1hr 30mins, mainly because I will be spinning out the segment on oil into a separate podcast, but good news nonetheless. In this week’s episode we mainly concentrate on last week’s US inflation data. We have all the week’s macro and markets data, plus SimonW’s latest Technical Analysis of the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, and special sections on the Office for Budget Responsibility’s forecast for the long term UK fiscal debt outlook, Donald Trump’s proposed import tariffs, and, related, the Smoot-Hawley tariffs of 1930
The next weekly will be on Friday 27th September (i.e. Friday week) when Richard will return as co-host. Thereafter I will be aiming to return to a Friday recording schedule.
