Hi Rainy, so glad you are sticking to your regular title. I couldn’t remember it either! 😅 thank you.

I love the murder mystery party trope with a murder! Great work reviewing our read without giving too much away! You know what I’ve been reading although I did start The Optimist’s Daughter with Eudora Welty today, we shall see what I make of that!

Thank you for the reviews! I have been in a slump too. If and when I read romances, I like clean ones (no spice for me), so I'll add this one to the list. Great job on your journal, it's beautiful!

Ah reading slumps are so frustrating! I have since completely finished it so now I can make my next journal spread. Yippee!

Lovely review and all over video! ❤ Your hit turned out great!!! It’s so pretty 😍. I am reading the second Aggie Morton book, just started Villette, in the middle of the third time crossing (christian hist fiction with a bit of romance) book, “For a Lifetime” by Gabrielle Meyer. I think I’m leaving a couple out 😂 Happy reading and journaling! Ttyl girl 😘😘

So far I’ve only read The Woods in Winter by Stella Cameron and I can’t say that it was the most exciting start to my 2025 reading year. Sounds like you are off to a great start! I’m rereading Persuasion and also reading Jane Austen at Home (which is very informative).

Oooo good Austen reads to start the year, but sad that your first finish was underwhelming.

I think sticking with Rainey Day Reads and just adding crafts is a good move. RDR. Just has a nice ring to it and rolls off the tongue so well. Always love hearing about what you’ve been reading. I’m currently reading an ARC set in Vienna just after WWII. So far it’s good … I have a “reverse recommendation”. I recently finished Melissa Gilbert’s (Laura Ingalls Wilder) latest book … would not recommend.

Oh no!!! What did she do?! lol I love Little House and will not tolerate her smack talkin. 😂
@TheCraftyCataloger21 күн бұрын
@ I know. I loved Little House too. It was just very ramble-y, she swears quite a bit in it (f bombs several times … simply not necessary). It was just an overall odd book, and one of those where when you’re done you think, “I think I liked this person better before I knew some of these things about them.” LOL

lol oh my gosh yes. I always go into memoirs and biographies veeeerry wearily.

That first book sounded really interesting. I’m reading The Running Man by Stephen King
@RaineyDayReads20 күн бұрын
It was a really interesting book to start the year on. I’ve never heard of that Stephen King! Of course, I’ve only read one book by him in my life soooo. Lol
@theokiestitcher12 күн бұрын
@ lol I wouldn’t bother with the Running Man. I find that I’m very split 50/50 on his books. Which, I thought I would’ve loved more of his books but nope.

You do a nice job of reviewing a book.

Aw thank you! I always worry that I say too much because I am not capable of a short video.
