I am 36, my daughter is 14. Between myself, my 2 sisters, and my brother, we ALL (siblings, spouses, children, grandparents, parents, & dogs) stay Christmas Eve at my parents, have dinner that night, open gifts from each other, put the kids to bed, Santa comes, everyone else goes to bed, and we all wake up at 8 AM, get our stockings, and then open gifts from Santa as a family. By about 9:30 PM - 10 AM, the 18 hour has ended and we are all en route to the spouse's family's Christmas celebration. It has been this exact schedule with my immediate family literally for as long as I can remember! And I would NOT want it any other way! The best part is we only have one child left that believes in Santa and his holiday energy vibe goes so hard lol We were all into it this year! Happy Holidays & Happy New Year!

I love Milly Johnson books. I’ve just finished that Christmas 🎄 book. Very enjoyable. Jenny Colgan also writes some lovely Christmas themed books. Love that cake stand, clever idea using it for decor. I paused the video to see if it’s in stock in target over here in WA lol 😂

Our Christmas has always been super busy. Christmas Day we do breakfast at my dad’s with all the siblings and partners, then lunch at my aunts house with the whole extended family and then dinner at my partner’s parents house and we generally stay there for the night. This was our first year with our own baby so we opened our presents on Christmas Eve, but we will see how that works out over the next few years

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Ella and Nick! Here is the USA for Latinos we celebrate on the 24th and we wait until midnight to open presents (sometimes we stay until until 4 or 5 AM and then on the 25th we relax and reheat food! 🥰

I have a very complicated split family who all live hours away from each other so usually have to go to 4 different houses on Christmas Day alone 😂 but my grandparents do huge Christmas light displays here In Melbourne so always super busy Christmas Eve with that

Hey Ella! Merry Christmas 🎄 your house is coming together yay!! You’re lucky that you and nick have found a Christmas schedule that works well for both sides! We are trying to alternate between families so Christmas Eve/Christmas Day with one side & Boxing Day with the other… then switch the next year! 😅

I’ve been married for 5 years, the 1st year we spent Christmas with my family but after that we’ve spent Christmas together just my husband and I ❤ he is my family and after a lot of family drama it was the best idea ever!

Christmas is absolute chaos for my partner and I. His family is split and Christmas Eve is their families main festivities in the Spanish culture. So we alternate Christmas Eve with his mum, and dad each year. Then we do Christmas Day with my family and Christmas night with his mum/dad depending on the year! It’s chaos and we eat way too much! Not sure what it will look like when we have our own kids - maybe they can all come to our house 😆

Things are different now because none of my grandparents are with us anymore BUT growing up, my immediate family used to open presents at home on christmas morning and then drive to my mum's parents for lunch with them and my million cousins, aunties, uncles (there was 24 of us cousins back then.. if we still did that now, there would be million because cousins have had kids and those kids have had kids etc) and then we would drive to one of my Dads siblings house for Christmas dinner (with my 5 cousins 😂) AND THEN on boxing day, most of my mums side of family drove the 6 hours to our holiday spot and stayed there camping for 3 weeks (😱 can't believe i did that for soooo many years haha) Now, my small immediate family just spends christmas day together opening presents and eating. 👌 and then catch up with family during this weird week after Christmas. 💖

We do present opening at home, go to my in laws (across the road) then go to my parents and then back for lunch. We do swap each year who we have lunch with. We don’t mind traveling as it’s only 20 minutes away. It does get annoying as we can’t drink if we are traveling.

We do one year with my mum and the next year with his parents for Christmas Day. Works out well as my middle sister does her other half’s parents the same year we do my partner’s so we are always altogether the the year we are at mums I see my dad separately and my daughter used to go to her dads at 3-4 pm now she sees her dad separately and she went off to her boyfriends family for dinner and the rest of Christmas Day it can get complicated but it works and no arguments or frustrations over it thankfully ❤

I haven’t watched yet but we have to laugh- for Christmas I got a boujee seiko diamond watch from hubby… it was from shiels.. safe to say I took it to Mr minit instead of shiels to get resized 😂

I decided to stay home because im moving cities and didn't want to drive an extra 18 hours. It resulted in me sitting in my room watching a murder doco because it rained - I was meant to go fishing 🤣 sometimes bad decisions are made
