I love what you did to your kitchen space I’m actually picturing that space as a coffee bar with floating shelves and I love the ceiling and new fan and yes I love. Love the look. Back in the day, they used asbestos in with the lattice wood that was in the ceiling. If you have an attic space have someone to inspect it just to be on the safe side for future work you may do throughout your house. Please read up on asbestos in older homes.

You made the right decision of removing the cabinet. Remove bottom cabinet and place a stool or ghost chair underneath creating a perfect work station ( a planning center area)❤

The contractor did an incredible job. 😊 😊 Suggest, you can always bring cabinets up to ceiling or just close off the space. If you leave the cabinet in the space, just add plywood to close off, or add wooden wine rack or spice rack.

I think you should slide the two cabinets down and put a small drink fridge on the end. The cabinets door will still open. They sell two size drunk/ wine fridges get the small one. The contractor can build a small base if it needs to be lifted a little . Love how everything turned out. I need some modern ceiling fans going to order a couple of these.tfs

Hello Emonie, I'm off today and cleaning, but I stopped to view your post. My kitchen has a similar function like yours. I have a radiator in the location where you did your remodel work. I have a shelf above it and photo myself. You did an excellent job, and it looks nice. I'm glad you decided on not placing the other plant there. Your kitchen fan looks lovely. Nice job on ceiling repair. Hair looks good and I like Coach also. Emonie, please use gloves and masks when handling dryway, etc. All the best and enjoy your week also. PS, I have an older 2 flat myself. It is over 110 years old, and like you stated, good bones. In a few years, we may move to a smaller place. Getting older and headed towards retirement.

I totally agree, a eye sore on the wall especially with the open space at the bottom but it looks a lot better with the picture. I would totally do something about the open space at the bottom. You are doing a good job and you have transformed your home since you got it.

If you move the refrigerator you will need to run a water line for the ice maker. If you take the uppers down I would do floating shelves. The bottom cabinets I would add a corner cabinet and it would move the other cabinet over some. If you want you could add display cabinets above your cabinets.

I was thinking to center the microwave and stove on the wall it’s on, and on that beautiful wall you did that looks GREAT! have someone build you a large cabinet with 2 doors and inside shelving, possibly a lazy susan cabinet with the swivel door if it will fit 👌🏽
