i couldn't say a proper thank you for 100k in this video because it was getting too long + i think i would cry haha so here is my thank you letter to all of you 💌 i started this channel a year and two months ago in november 2020 and i was actually at one of the lowest points in my life. i decided to start youtube for several reasons, one being that i wanted to keep myself busy. at the time, it had been about a year since i started working from home, which gave me a lot of time on my hands. so i thought starting youtube would be a good way to keep myself busy and get my mind off things. thinking of that moment now, i’m so blown away as to how far this channel has come, and it’s all thanks to you guys. i never would have imagined that this channel would grow to over 100k… i recently received a DM saying: “Your life is like a dream. Whenever I see people like you on youtube, I always think, I wonder if these people experience hardship too. Not hating, just pure curiosity.” i think i can speak for many people on this platform when i say that we ALL experience hardship. we’re human too -- we have our highs and lows. just because we show our lives on the internet doesn’t discount us from the hardships and difficulties that everybody faces in life. when i look back on my videos just from a few months ago, i sometimes tear up watching my old self because i remember how much i was suffering in that period of my life. the countless nights of silent crying, losing more and more weight, having health issues, anxiety, trauma, mental and emotional stress. however, this is not to say that what i showed in my videos is fake -- i was genuinely happy in those moments and i am so so so grateful for this platform because when i was at my lowest, i pushed myself to get out of bed, pick up my camera, go out and film instead of drowning in my thoughts and tears. i’m here to thank you guys because during this one year of uploading videos and sharing bits and pieces of my life on youtube, you guys have helped me so much. you guys have sent me the sweetest messages and comments and it’s incredible at how much some kind words can lift a person up. my self-esteem and self-confidence were at its lowest last year, but if there’s anything that i learned from my hardships, it’s learning to love myself. when i look at my channel, i am so proud of myself for pushing through. i never missed a week of uploading a video and sometimes even posted twice a week. i would be working my full-time job + filming/editing nonstop -- starting youtube really did keep me busy. i found new hobbies and passions in video editing and filming -- it excites me and gives me opportunities to create something that is entirely my own. this channel is proof to me that it gets better, healing is possible, and hard work pays off. i am now so much stronger mentally and physically. my weight/muscle gain journey has been going great, and my health has improved a lot. i am in a much better place than i was before, and i have this platform to thank. to me, this platform isn’t just a place where i upload content -- it’s a platform where i found healing, encouragement, and new passions. and it’s all thanks to you guys. i remind myself every day to be grateful, stay humble and keep grounded. thank you once again for this 100k milestone -- i wouldn’t be here without you guys. stay safe & God bless 💕 love, kieun
