Hahahaha! I had to show off the team a little, lol!!! I enjoy all of the work that goes into make these videos each week - and I'm proud to say I do it all myself. BUT, I can't wait to be in the position to actually have a team because oh the things I could do if I had a little help. So I'm speaking that out into existence for the very near future! Thank you so much for watching. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the gardens...and my new lamp! It fits right in and I love it. Have a great week!

Happy Sunday! The garden was so beautiful, peaceful and serene. It’s the perfect place to center yourself and become one with nature. I just love shopping for vinyl. Nothing like putting on a record and vibing out. Reminds me of growing up listening to my parents records. Cute ending.
@jessicapayne8 ай бұрын
Exactly!! I get those same feelings/vibes when I put on a record because that's what my parents used to do too. I can't wait to build up my collection and oh how I wish my parents still had theirs because I would go up there and "borrow" them all, lol!! Thank you so much for watching - I'm so happy that you enjoyed the gardens. What a treat that was for sure!

Ohhh wow.. looks like a fairy tale!😮 I've never seen more beautiful cherry trees, they're stunning, its all stunning!💕 All the flowers, the tulip trees, the water falls.. its just something special to see!! I can only imagine what its like being there in the flesh!! I wonder if they allow weddings in the gardens?! I remember when The Wizard Of Oz only came on once a year, i was always so excited! The lamp is beautiful❤ Thanks for taking us along, truly enjoyed😊
@jessicapayne8 ай бұрын
Right?!! I haven't either - so when I saw them up close and personal like that, I was blown away. Absolutely stunning (as I kept saying, lol!!!). I believe that they do allow weddings there as there were many little areas throughout that would be perfect for a small wedding. I'm sure those spots book up quickly! And yes - the Wizard of Oz was our favorite as a family. We would get so excited each year. I still get excited when I see it - and I'll sit there and watch it likes its my first time (well......other than singing all the songs which Mark just loves, lol!!!). So glad you enjoyed the episode - thanks so much for watching!

Morning, love touring Durham with you…. I am a bit familiar as my son graduated NCS, we use to visit a lot ….. he is now in Concord. I would like to recommend to you a jazz album I know you would enjoy ( from the 60’s) Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Aderly. You could sample it on KZbin videos. I found your channel as my sister and I were looking for some information on traveling to St Crois Virgin Island. I must say , it brought tears to our eyes…Your content and delivery is exquisite🎉. You are by far the best and you really show what the people need and want to see when choosing a travel destination, not to mention your playlist!!! As an avid music lover with thousands of songs in our repertoire, (my husband would’ve loved your choices) I was SHOOK….Very mature, with class, style and taste. I enjoyed that first video so much, I hurried and subscribed to your newsletter and your channel. We viewed several of your other videos and you are by far, the best KZbinr out there. Love it!

Oh my goodness - I am tearing up at your comment. Wow.........thank you!!!!! Truly. Thank you!!!! I work really really hard each week curating videos that I pray will reach the right audience - and clearly that prayer was heard. Music is very important to me because I feel like while I may not always be able to articulate how I'm feeling at every moment - the music can help me share that story. I spend hours listening to music and trying to find the perfect song to match what is going on, on screen. For you to notice that - just means everything to me and I so appreciate you taking the time to not only watch, but to also comment. Again, thank you thank you thank you - you've made my day!!!! 🥰

Loved the Gardens, Glad to see they allowed dogs my Frenchie would have fallen love. Great lamp. there is a Japanese art for of gluing back broken pottery and paining the cracks with gold. So don't worry and enjoy your gift. They then become more beautiful. Very soothing video.

I was really happy to see that they allowed dogs as well. I think I said hello to each and every one of them, lol!! I don't know if my heart will ever heal from the passing of my dog a few years ago, but I'm getting closer and closer to almost being ready to getting another one. And for sure I'll be bringing them along with me. Oh yes - I am familiar with that art. I've tried to get into a class to learn how to do it - but it sells out so quickly. I would love to learn in case I do happen to break any of my precious mugs....which is bound to take place! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!

Jessica that is one of the most beautiful parks/gardens I have ever seen...full stop...I was excited when I saw the vinyl! I still have ALL my LPs and they are cataloged and in numerical order. I have over 400...Once Mike and I were married we merged our collection. I have an old school turn table and some great speakers...I am going to set everything up again soon. My basement has flooded twice so I had to move things around and break down the system. There is also a shop in Hollywood called...As the Record Turns! A friend of mine owns it Gabrielle and I have purchased a number of items from that shop. The owners name is Kevin Donan. We graduated together...really nice guy. Kevin and his wife run the store. Look him up! At any rate...loved the park/garden stroll. I needed it this morning! I have never had a gin martini! I have some Bombay gin in the bar...🙂
@jessicapayne8 ай бұрын
Wasn't it wonderful?? I just couldn't get over how beautiful it was. I first gasped at the cherry blossoms......and then again when I saw the red bridge......and then over and over again throughout. It was marvelous and I can't wait to keep going back over the seasons to see how everything changes. Wait - you have over 400 albums all cataloged and ordered? I so hope that you will be in Ohio the next time I'm home. Because I'm coming over and bringing a bottle with me so we can listen to some music and chat it up. I guess Mom can come too, lol!!!!! And yes I will absolutely look Kevin up - thank you for the recommendation. Finally, this was my first gin martini and honestly, I don't think I'll go back to vodka. It was delicious!!

Hey chick! Duke Gardens is so beautiful! You chose a great song to accompany the picturesque views. Who was the singer? My husband and I plan to visit Durham soon to check out a restaurant called Where’s the Jerk. They are known for their Jamaican food, seafood and their famous oxtail cheesesteak. I think they also have oxtail eggrolls. Have you ever been?
