Dry shampoo, jumbo flexi rods, and a high bun are my best friends when it comes to working out/sweating. Also putting your hair in a high bun when you sleep vs wrapping it preserves the freshness and bounce (instead of it being on your scalp all night collecting the natural grease it produces). I use the flat iron maybe once a week because of it. Less breakage. Love the video 💕

the childhood photos were so wholesome!!! as for any tips for working out and hair, I personally don't workout not only because I have braids and I'd have to wash them more than I already do which would then lead to me having to redo them more frequently, but also because I gain weight if I workout. (I put on muscle weight really easily, and I also feel as though I'm starving myself if I workout + food diet) I instead just focus on my food diet and go on a vegetable, fruit and veggie carb (like potatoes, pumpkin, etc) 1000kcal diet, with no oil or nuts + no working out. That usually works for me. Its not for everyone, but it works for me and my body.

For heat protectant I heard and use use a thick base instead of a liquid spray. I use IC FANTASIA Serum and their spray that moisturizes the hair as well as preventing it from being sticky and wet residues which the flat iron will eat off and end up burning the hair. I tend to flat iron my hair literally everyday and it's better than the process I've done to keep my hair from frying before.

Loved your video! For the sew-in sweat (lol) I use dry shampoo first and it absorbs a lot of it. Also, I wrap it mainly the top to protect the leave out. That helps to keep the sweat in a controlled state and then when I remove my scarf, I add the dry shampoo (Dove is the best IMO) and it absorbs soooo much moisture and it makes it smell good. I also try to keep mine in flexi rods because curls work well with the textured hair that's grown out too and you don't have to apply direct heat. All this just to be able to workout lol. :)

The way you switch to Jamaican is so cute❤️ I love it lol... I would recommend trying raspberry leaves, during your time of month, you can get it as a tea, but I take it on Tablet form... Jackie Aina recommended it on a video about 4/5yrs ago and when I tell you it has saved my life! I live in the UK and I get it from a herbal store here but definitely worth a try. Ofcourse do your own research and I would recommend looking at natural brands that sell it in your area.
