Definitely a shared sentiment. I constantly find myself moving from feeling genuinely content and grateful for life as I have it (health, family, friends, career etc.), to feeling incredibly guilty for not yet meeting my family’s hopes and expectations for my life.

Hey Zahra I feel the same as you! I’m 25 and recently been deeping how everyone is “ahead” of me and I’m “behind” and just getting stuck in this rut and cycle but Alhamdullilah it’s time for us to focus on ourselves, our careers, health and happiness and we won’t get this time back. We should deffo try not to compare ourselves but it’s very hard when you’re surrounded by people at different stages in life as with education etc you’re all on the same road and suddenly things are different! I’m with you, you’re doing a wonderful job, love your content, you as a teacher, and your personality! Just a princess and will always love your content ❤❤

How did you balance your PGCE year with a social life as I'm thinking about getting into teaching but am scared as I have heard that both the course and the career are intense ? I felt like a failure between 23-25 and on my 26th birthday idk what happene dbut I felt good again. I still have days where I compare (because I am currently not where I want to be weight wise) and there are others where I am so proud. I think this is just a part of life, I think we should be kinder to ourselves but maybe I should take my own advice lool I am 27 now, 28 in Novemeber and I am focusing on being present, though as someone who always thinks of the future it's a bit hard so I'm just going with the flow tbh lool OMG I love how you write!! Super cute!! Xx

As a 36 year old, I still compare myself to others…so I think no matter what age you get to or are at, you will compare. Be kind to yourself and try your best not to. :-)
