Baby girl, you are right about developing a friendship with someone without all the bells and whistles, because once the newness wears off (honeymoon stage) there has to be some kind of foundation. My Mother told me when I began dating, "You have to have a lot more going for you than just sex, because you can get sex anywhere. You have to be able to hold a conversation, talk about world and current events, have a hobby, interests, etc." So, the path you are taking is a good one. Take things nice and slow, because as you know things are still very raw and you are healing. ❤
