Would recommend crate training just in case! Even if you don't plan on having her stay in a crate often, sometimes dogs will end up needing to be in a crate at some point for safety (whether at the vet or traveling or if no one can babysit or she's hurt and you don't want her roaming.) The earlier you introduce her to crates, the more comfortable she'll be in one and it won't be a big anxious challenge if she DOES need one later. A lot of dogs end up loving them and will use them voluntarily to relax because it's a safe space that's 100% "theirs". But when people only use crates for stressful/negative situations (like for punishment or hard trips to the vet) dogs are more likely to develop a negative relationship with crates.

Awhhhh please crate train Rumie 💗💗 coming from a vet employee if anything ever happens you don’t want her to have kennel anxiety and make her stay worse. Or if you ever need to have her boarded or stay at a vet it’ll be so much better for her! And a lot of time dogs learn to love their crate and it becomes a safe haven to them. She’s adorable 🤍

From someone who does Rover I always appreciate when owners crate their dogs. When dogs aren’t crated they have the worst separation anxiety. It also teaches them that they have a little home to go to. I definitely think you should start incorporating it before it’s too late.

At home vlog vibes are my FAVVVV!!! And from one obsessed dog mom to another, crate training seems sad to us humans but it’s SO beneficial for your baby to have a safe space. I felt the exact same way but my baby loves his crate. Everytime he goes into his crate he also gets a treat so he’s practically yeeting himself in there 😂 but he loves it and actually prefers to be in there when we leave him home alone. Being in the whole apartment by himself stressed him out but he’ll gladly take a nappy in his crate. Do what you think is best though ❤

100% crate train! It gives your dog a safe space to retreat to - almost like a den. You don’t have to put her in there all the time but it’s good to have the option in case you need it. It also helps with potty training
