I also have to tune out the convention commentators. I don't need someone to review and explain what I just saw! And I'm happy to be at a point where I only hear about class schedule problems but I'm not part of the solution!

I have slowed down my reading as my purchasing has gone up, so that's a problem for the future, think i am going to start leaning more into indie books if for no other reason that i keep buying the things! Thanks for the update, I hope you manage to find your book balance soon hun

So many books and so little time.

I have too much reading going on myself too. I’m like that Melissa McCarthy meme about over commitment, and “I chose NINE! I chose NINE!” I read almost exclusively from Libby and the library, so I have the deadline of the ebooks disappearing, or flipping to panic Airplane Moding my iPad to hold onto it. At one point I had 15 things on Libby and 5 things on Hoopla. Plus my own physical texts I’m reading and owned ebooks. I’ve ended up reading Oliver Sacks’ Migraines for yet another 3 week spread for the 4th time. The medical jargon is very dense. But the good thing is it isn’t in high demand and I can get it back each time. As someone who has had a lot of jobs and a lot of first days of work, I always consul people if they have a chance to start a new job on Thursday. There’s that first overwhelming over stimulating first day, then one more day to get a better sense of the people and the routine, but then you get to collapse and recover for the weekend before starting a full week of work. Mental and physical health wise Thursday starts for school and new work should be de rigueur

Melinda! Glorious Exploits’s tone is so much like Blacktongue Thief, albeit Buehlman makes up his own swear words as its his own fantasy world. I know Alex is going to read it soon maybe you can pick it up when she does. The audio is similar to Glorious too, he has some kind of made up brogue, also author read.

Oh cool! I've never heard of Blacktongue Thief, but now I'm intrigued. I may read it along with Alex! Thanks!

Yeah, it's the best term I could come up with my very bad habit of having too many books going at once!
