Slow and steady progress, I’m not quite at the midpoint yet, but I’m getting closer! Come along with me for another weekly writing vlog while I write past a general feeling of blah.

CURRENT PROJECTS:
“Pine Hollow” - This is my “cozy werewolf smut” series (term coined by Dolores Madil!) about a small town called Pine Hollow and the werewolves that are just trying to live their lives there. Slice of life, fated mates. Working on the zero draft of the first book-which was technically already written, but has been reworked/rebooted.
“Project Matcha Latte” - Contemporary queer romance about a weird girl named Olive who falls in love with the cool and charming Theo, a nonbinary barista. Working on the zero draft.
I’m April and I’m an autistic woman documenting my journey to becoming an author on KZbin! Let’s be friends!

Breaks are always a good thing and allowed. Sometimes we need time to recharge and that's completely okay ❤

Thank you! 💖 I always have a 'go, go, go!' mentality, which is strange because I'm physically very lazy lol.

Don't ever feel bad about needing a break you do so much. Don't count yourself short. Also good job on making it to your goal. 🎉

Thank you! It's hard sometimes, because I'm the kind of person who hates sleeping just because it takes away from time I could be doing something productive lol. I always tell my partner that I wish I could just plug into the wall and charge like a phone, because at least then I could still do things. 😂

@aprilkayauthor well that would be an interesting thing if we could. Though as someone who tends to run myself ragged all I have to say is be careful. Enjoy rest when you can because rest forced is never fun because usually for me it's because I'm sick.

I found your vlog because I was looking at the review of the alphasmart. I got one because of your influence and love it! I find your narration of your writing so helpful because I feel the same about my writing and my streaks I go on. I struggle so much with starting and finishing what I start because another story develops in my mind as Im writing the current project. I have so many unfinished or half thought out stories. Your perspective is so refreshing. Keep it up!

Oh, thank you!! I really appreciate it! It's been a huge problem for me for as long as I can remember--no matter how much I love an idea, the moment a new one comes along, I get a rush of excitement and immediately want to start working on that one. I've gotten SLIGHTLY better at finishing my stories, but only very, very slightly lol. And I'm excited to share the Alphasmart love! It's such a neat little thing!

Your vlogs are always amazing! I love hearing about your projects and it is always motivates me to write! And like everyone is saying breaks are important! But I totally understand your feeling about taking a break, I feel the same when I take breaks I didn't plan😅 Even though I know it is a totally okay and often necessary thing to do!

THANK YOU AHHH 💖💖💖 I don't know why I always feel like there's a ticking clock somewhere and the more breaks I take, the faster it starts ticking lol. I can be so lazy physically (it's a problem) but when it comes to writing, I always feel like I need to be grinding. I need to have a clone that I can tag in when I take a break, and that way I'm still being productive. 😂

All things considered, writing 4K words in a day is nothing to sneeze at 👏🏾 Congrats on your progress - Take it easy if you need to tho! 🩷
