Which it can be very hard for actors who don't do that type of work to jump into it and do a great job. Seen countless Hollywood Celeb do terrible voice work in other games or animated things. Which is why majority of gaming voice acting is done either by legit VA who have a long career doing like Anime Dub's. Might also be that he wasn't given great direction in what he should be doing. I do think he did show some solid emotion at certain parts like when he thought his daughter was dead or when Scarecrow was holding her hostage. But I also haven't played the game in a few years so maybe he also didn't show much of anything in those scenes either.

That is why for ages now I have been saying that SJW might be annoying but the people are the compete opposite side of the spectrum are way way worse. I mean these are the types of morons that see a strong female character in something and think that it's just more SJW bullshit that Hollywood is trying to shove down their throats. Because god forbid you actually have a strong female character who is capable in her own right. Like I remember seeing a review for Ep 4 of The Mando. And then reading the comments of a bunch of people angry that Gina Carano character was in it and that she was a capable soldier. Some saying it was one of the most unrealistic things they had ever seen. And that anyone who doesn't agree is just snowflake. Like WTF they think a women that was a legit MMA fighter who went 19-2-1 in her career that would legit tear the head off of these type of moron commenter's is somehow unrealistic as badass soldier. I wouldn't be shocked if these type of people don't believe that any women has been in the military. Hence why they think it's unrealistic to have a women in such a role in Star Wars.

Ad Astra felt basically like Apocalypse Now set in the 2001: A Space Odyssey universe. It was straight up Heart of Darkness - innn SPAAACCCEEE! The only thing that struck me as wrong was that this was set at least 100 years in the future, and Tommy Lee Jones' high school yearbook picture is grainy and black and white - even though that would be the class of 2072. But the internal monologue was very Apocalypse Now, as was the episodic nature of the journey with characters falling away and surreal vignettes.

@@reddragon0624 It ain't exactly the greatest place on Earth and it is populated by monsters (aka the Cartel). A lot of places in Mexico are fine and the majority of citizens are decent people. However the movie takes place by the border and you simply can't ignore the cartel. Many places in Mexico are awful places, there is a reason why border crossing has always been a popular thing. Again, not everywhere/everyone in Mexico is bad yet many areas really can be dangerous. If you took that to mean all of Mexico is bad, that's on you. I really enjoyed Coco and I also enjoyed Last Blood. Coco focuses on the great of Mexico, Last Blood focuses ok the evil within. You can have both films. Doesn't mean either is trying to promote an agenda. @r520jr85 жыл бұрын
Guy Incognito Well, if I’m being completely honest here: for starters there’s not a single compelling character in this entire movie. They’re all one note characters that I honest to God can’t remember a single name of. The princess only exists to be saved and she and Cary Elways have one of the least convincing love stories I’ve ever seen. The swordsman’s, something Montoya, entire character arc is “I’m gonna kill this guy” He’s pointless and there’s nothing to him. I honestly believe this movie is the perfect example of “comedy is subjective” because I don’t remember laughing at single joke. And a lot of the plot seems all over the place to me. There’s giant rats for no reason and the main character dies and is immediately brought back with almost 0 consequences by Bill Crystal who is another pointless character. I’m not trying to sound hostile towards this movie even though it may seem that way. I’m really not. I know everyone loves this movie. I personally just can’t get behind it

Just to add to your point, I really hate the silly argument that it paints Mexico as bad because they say it's dangerous. I mean, what should they say? "Sure, go for it. Cross the border and enter Cartrl territory. It'll be fine." Most arguments against this film are nonsensical. Even arguments if it being too violent. Many people who are saying that also enjoyed John Wick. You just can't win with some people. I mean it's fine if this isn't the type of movie they enjoy and it's also fine to point out legitimate flaws such as pacing and consistency issues. Yet to say it portrays Mexico as bad is really misinterpreting the film. Hell it's downright stupid to ignore the real dangers of the cartel and sex trafficking near the border which the movie highlights just to complain about an agenda. It's even worse when it comes from the same people who love films about how poorly black people have been treated in the past.
