The album this is on, Older, was fully dedicated to his lost love, Anselmo Feleppa. It's his masterpiece, hands down. He threw everything at it and we all felt it. Jesus To A Child is simply the most touching, heartfelt song about losing the love of your life I've ever heard. Spinning The Wheel is my 2nd fave by him, a very smooth take on the dangers that can be out there from HIV/AIDS, especially during this time. Every song will pull at you. Fast Love can be a sad song if you look at it. That kind of pain, that type of loss can rip you apart. You come out of it though a little Older, a little wiser. Still hurting, yes, Fast Love is all you can give at that moment. It's a masterclass in love, loss, mourning, and finding love again. Only he could have done it.

Yes Rowan, Yes! That was George's magic. He tapped into real life. Not just his but ours as well. Whether it was sad, happy, or a mix, George reached into our hearts and has never left. What a gift, straight down from heaven above. I'm not just talking about now, but George's very existence! His gift of love. 💝💖 BK

@madeleineglo7696 The casual hookups were because of his loss. Ie: I miss my baby. I never said it was about him, though, did I? I'm reading what I wrote and feel confused regarding your response.

I absolutely love the following three songs that were massive at the time. Spinning the wheel ( original and sped up dance version), Outside (one of the best humourlessly written song's, just sticking two fingers up to everyone who was giving him strife for having got caught cruising for gay sex) and also his cover of the song Killer/Papa was a rolling stone. ❤❤

Love this song. I remember George saying that near the end of the video shoot he was feeling quite smug because he's seen everybody having to get soaked - then the director etc decided George would get under the water too! LOL. Always love any video with George in it, knowing how much he hated doing them. It made them more special, him taking part. Favourite song though - A Different Corner Favourite George duet - I Knew You Were Waiting with Aretha Franklin - 80's mega bop!

This song was one of 6 singles released off the Older album. All six went into the top 3. 2 at number 1, 3 at number 2 and 1 number 3. I think to date it still hold a record for 6 songs to land in the top 3 off of one album. Older is a multi platinum album, which he calls his masterpiece. This video makes me think of modern day Tinder. 😂

This is actually a pretty dark/sad song. It's about trying to find comfort in one-night stands after you've lost someone (in this case, GM lost his partner to AIDS) and not being able to open up again but still wanting connection. The video feels a bit dated now but it's fun to watch! Have you reacted to "Too Funky" yet??
