You missed an important part of the story at the end of the song, when she first steps out of the car, the guy is seen with his wife on the the carpet. So yes, she was the mistress :)

The man in the video is Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood, the famous actor. Scott himself is also actor and model. And the beat at the beginning of the song is Taylor's real heartbeat ❤️❤️

the kissing in front of the cameras was for the movie, the kissing in the bedroom was the affair happening behind the scenes, the red carpet premiere was her seeing his wife/finding out that he has a wife

The dark hair…. This video is a shout out to her grandmother Marjorie Finlay, who was an opera singer. She encouraged Taylor to pursue music. She died when Taylor was 13 and in Nashville trying to put out her tapes and get a record deal. She looks just like her, with dark hair. This video she wears the dark hair just like her grandmother and I think Marjorie’s name is written somewhere in this video. Taylor wrote a touching song about her called Marjorie, there is a nice lyric video with home movies of Marjorie and a young Taylor. It’s very nice. She found some old records of Marjorie singing opera and her producer was able to incorporate Marjorie’s voice into the song. So, I’m sure it would have been a dream of Marjorie to sing with Taylor or to even see Taylor make it, or get a record deal, but Taylor now has a song with her grandmother singing with her. It’s lovely. I miss my grandmother and that songs often makes me cry. If that sounds like a good time…. Check out Marjorie!!!

Taylor's mother Andrea loved horses and rode. So Taylor learned to ride, and entered competitions until she was 12, and turned her sights towards her songwriting

You missed BOTH OF THEIR wedding rings clearly shown on the screen. And you missed the end of the video. It was actually shot in Africa. Scott Eastwood (Clint Eastwood’s son). The song said “your clothes are in my room”. Taylor has owned and ridden horses competitively most of her younger life.

I think this video is inspired by a 80s very successful movie "Out Of Africa" with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford where according to rumours the two stars had an affair but Robert had a wife. That seems to be only a rumour and did not happen but it is part of Hollywood folklore. I think this is really a reference to that movie. Just compare Meryl Streep with black hair looks and clothes in the movie to Taylor Swift in the video.
