I love it when plot devices have more than one reason for being used. Vi’s black hair isn’t only for her character change or what happened with Caitlyn. It’s the reason Vander doesn’t recognize her until she calls his name and he hears her voice. ❤️

There's a lot of other stuff going on, but I do also really enjoy Caitlyn's subtle character arc in this episode This scientist is the worst kind of monster Zaun has to offer -> Oh wait this guy is a Piltovan who is unleashing poison and monsters on the innocent citizens of the undercity -> He is doing all of that out of love for a deceased family member -> If I continue down the path I'm on, is this who I'm going to become?

After watching this episode, I realize that much like Vander and Silco's brotherhood, their promise to Vi/Jinx's mom was also divided. Vander abandoned the dream of an independent Zaun and focused on raising the kids, while Silco pursued the dream of Zaun's independence but ignored raising the kids.

It certainly casts Silco in a different, insane light especially, considering he had a knife in hand behind his back when he approached Powder. And how he made her hate Vi and wanted her dead the second he knew she was alive.

If anything knowing how idealistic Silco used to be makes his death sad: the second he finally gets that spark to care about others and ideals past power for Zaun back he’s shot dead by the woman who inspired that change.

In the games you have four abilities per champion, one of Warwick's abilities is called Blood Hunt. This ability states, "Warwick can sense champions below 50% health, gaining movement speed towards them and gaining attack speed against them. These bonuses are increased by 200% against enemies below 20% health." The blood is just the best narrative conversion of this idea. Warwick goes into a frenzy when near blood instead of when a champion's health is low. But also like in the game, Warwick doesn't have to keep fighting, he can disengage if given the right opportunity. In the show it just so happens to be Vi and Powder.

Vander’s apology letter to Silco is the same message that both Vi and Jinx want to say to each other. Vi even turns around and reaches to Jinx but stops herself. In that moment, she had one gauntlet off, whereas with Caitlyn, when she was at her most vulnerable, she dropped both gauntlets off. Vi even looks at Jinx while they walk as though she wants to say something but is afraid to. Like she has one more wall holding herself back.

Thank you so much Mosco for noticing Vi was binding. That stood out to me and I have been going crazy that no one else noticed it. The anyone who may need to bind, get a good quality binder, make sure it is a proper fit for you, and never wear longer than 8 hours or while working out.

OK... you may have missed it... but Vander and Silco worked in the mines. They've talked a lot about the mines... and this episode confirms those cool gauntlets that Vander had were actually what they used for mining (as there were multiple sets in the area where the mining clothes and helmets were. (It also explains why Jayce made gauntlets for the miners) Anyway... the mother was talking about blisters they would get from mining so hard to "dig up" a working plan for Zaun. I honestly believe Silco, Vander and the mother were just really close friends. It's possible both Vander and Silco had a crush on her... chances are she was a love interest for many miners... and I think those looks were just the two guys knowing her personality and how she was very much the person she described herself to be. If she took Vander's advice on using the name Violet he suggested, that just shows how close these three were as friends. You're the first reactor to comment on how this little flashback changed so much about Season 1! We now know that Silco very much knew who Powder was and who Powder's mother was and how much it meant to him to take care of her.

People seem to ignore/forget that he had a knife on him when he approached Powder. He wasn't initially going to adopt her, since he was hiding the knife behind his back. That's messed up. More so when he wanted to kill his friend's other daughter just because she could make Jinx turn on him if she knew her sister was alive and hadn't actually abandoned her.

I'm very certain Vi and Jinx's Mother was just family to Vander and Silco, very strong sibling coding between all three of them. Singed's daughter is Orianna, by the way. A playable character of the game. This reveal is also something of a retcon for both her and Singed, and frankly I am all for it! Been a while since both characters had some interesting updates to their respective character mythos, and this was a really good one to go for! Singed's work into conquering life and death, Orianna's fate in how she "survived" her terminal condition, perfect combo!

2 things, one fun fact and one theory: 1) Mel's brother is voiced by Keston John, best known for voicing Hordak and Horde Prime in Netflix She-Ra, and Darius, the Abomination Coven Leader in The Owl House. And 2) My theory about Mel is that the Black Rose wanted Mel to become a Sorceress under their teachings, but Ambessa wanted Mel to stay with her and take Kino's place as the heir to her throne in Noxus, and that difference of plan for Mel's future led to the feud between Ambessa and the Black Rose.

Fun fact, during that last scene with Jayce and Salo, you could see the cold air of Jayce's breath. It was the same way during the scene in the reactor last act with Heimer and Ekko. Edit: And even more so, along with her rage, Vi needs to choose to stop her self destructive coping habits in front of Warwick, to fight until she wins or is defeated, or to give into love again and embrace what’s in front of her.

I loved every song they had in season 1. I thought they were very well selected and in very good places. In season 2, starting every episode with a song and music video, I can't help but feel they're putting to much effort into them, and most of the don't land with me. It could just be me, but so far it is my biggest complaint for this season. I feel the only time it really worked was S2E1.
