This sounds pretty chill and smooth, but the albun version has the "descending into madness" feeling that they were going for

The regular one makes me think of a short story where there's a teleportation device, but you have to be unconscious for it to work correctly, in the story a boy holds his breath as he's getting the knockout gas and he experiences nothing forever, when everyone elses teleport is finished (which for them would be seconds) they look to the boy and see a shell of what he was, he had gone mad from being alone infinitely, saying "It's longer than you think!" before dying.

Still baffled why this has so few listeners.

Well it is the demo version of a song from 20 years ago from a band that isn't the most famous in the world to begin with. If Ween was the kind of band that made millions of people want to look up their demos and rarities, they'd probably suck anyway right? The album version of the song has a decent number of views though. My favorite song ever btw.

I suppose you're right. Favorite Ween song or favorite song, period?

Well it's my favorite Ween song, and Ween is my favorite band, so I guess that makes it my favorite period. But there's too many great Ween songs to really choose just one. I just love this one for how psychedelic and spacey it is, especially how the album version sounds like it's somehow constantly slowing down...

They do have a lot of great songs. Mutilated Lips is very HP Lovecraft inspired. From the same album Buckingham Green also has cool psychedelic horror vibe. Now you've done it. I gotta listen to the whole Mollusk album again.
