WHAT KIND OF DUEL IS THIS!! Today in master duel we are recreating one of the most "iconic" match ups in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. Weevil vs Rex Raptro! We will be doing this by recreating their structure decks within Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel! Who will come out on top in this legendary regional finals!

Fun fact! Rex is the only opponent Joey fought in Duelist Kingdom besides Yugi that didn't cheat. Hell, Rex never cheated in any of his appearances, instead being the one cheated against, losing to Mai, Espa Roba, and most likely Weevil(because he's Weevil) due to them cheating against him.

@@Deathmare235 Fair. I didn't count Yugi because I don't know if there's actual rulings on using supernatural ghost spirits in duels. Also, Yugi gave Joey Time Wizard a while back, so I don't think it was a gigantic conspiracy that he knew he was going to face Joey in the finals and intentionally gave it to him to make it lose.

@@thenerd-bot9847 Millennium items are not considered cheating. ta least the one he has. it rewrites fate and acts more like a skill. Kaiba and Joey can do similar things. It's part of the mystical part of the game. Rulings... Those were the rules of the game they played, so we can't count any of them as cheating. As for time wizard, he gave him a strong card. He just took advantage of a card he used to have for his own strategies. Cheating are things like: hiding your cards, cutting your deck, stealing cards from your opponent, messing with your opponent's deck, putting undue stress on him (threats or using pain), coercion, looking at the cards your opponent has.

Well, technically it was self-defense, yes. But as far as "villains" went, Rex was probably the most honest and honorable of them, as Rex was one of the rare villains who never attempted to actually cheat....while Bandit Keith was one of the most blatant cheaters of them all. Ironic how Pegasus got a "pet the dog" moment where he actually caught and called out Keith for cheating, when Pegasus himself was a massive cheater as well due to his Millenium Eye. I'm positive that had Pegasus faced Kaiba *without* his Millenium Eye, Pegasus would very likely have lost.

Harpies have actually good sinergy with tribrigades and get a stupidly broken trap that can negate every enemy activated monster effect in any zone (field, deck, hand etc.) for a whole turn, can be used as an handtrap as long as you have an harpy on the field, and can be activated preemtively should the opp open raigeki or lightning storm They also have searchable and recyclable feather duster and another couple cute boons so theyre one of the better old school archetypes

would be cool to see a "what if" version of these decks with the newer support cards they've gotten. Weevil's gotten things like ultra cocoon of evo, metamorphosed insect queen, parasite paranoid, and the gokipole/giant ball park stuff that turns his pile of trash into something that vaguely resembles a functional deck. Rex has the overpowered structure deck stuff, gotta be careful with the balance and lean more into normal monster beatdown with cards like survival's end, unexpected dai, ancient rules, etc. It'd be interesting seeing things that would normally be useless pack filler get some time in the sun, plus seeing powerful cards like double evo pill used to summon a Black Tyranno or something would be funny.

i love that u guys do is all those combos, make intresting game.. not like we have on tournaments, rankeds and now, like shooting game first best hand draw wins... anyone just add best cards, most epic and win one turn... is no need big brain to learn one combo and win duels. thats why i think game must have more constraints. because it is now allowed to intertwine everything best into one deck and just prevent the opponent from playing to make moves, just kill the game. People with low intelligence need to win cheat hacks, and cards that allow you to win easily call one or more monsters on the first move to prevent opponents from playing ... this is why i love that u do guys. u make this game again fun intresting and smart.

You could use the deck recipes from Yu gi oh: Legacy of the duelist. Those are probably the most canon you can get. They also have their challenge decks which are better versions that are more modern.
