This gives me major oldschool vibes, especially the low tone, extra crunchy guitar. I hope they continue this style, It really does feel pinkertony

+FUNKe Mhm. I really like how similar to pinkerton's style it is. Who knows maybe its like "Thank God For Girls" in the sense it may have been cut from an older album >_>

Some albums have you wait three of four minutes for the hidden track to appear. Pinkerton had us wait 19 years for it's hidden track to finally play.

Yeah, pretty much all of Pinkerton's B-Sides are awesome. It's one of those albums that was perfect in length for what it is, but you can tell that they produced a lot of great songs in the same sessions, enough to make a second album (like with Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac).

Man.. Some of the songs on this album really spark familiarity within me. Simple power chords with catchy choruses and melodies. Feels like I'm going back in time. This is like dejavu to me. Still diggin' it. Weezer good job. Keep it old school.

Crush up the blue And inhale through your nose Scrape every quark From the wood in the floor [Chorus] She said: Do you wanna get high? Don’t eat no dinner tonight I took a road trip to Mexico And scored a hundred count Do you wanna get high? It’s like we’re falling in love We can listen to Bacharach And stop at any point [Verse 2] Now our bones start to ache As we cramp on the pot And we fall to the floor With our face in a knot [Chorus] She said: Do you wanna get high? Don’t eat no dinner tonight I took a road trip to Mexico And scored a hundred count Do you wanna get high? It’s like we’re falling in love We can listen to Bacharach And stop at any point [Bridge] Keep on doing what you do ‘Cuz I’ll never get tired of you Don’t need booze ‘Cuz I’ll never get tired of you Stop the tape, kill the lights, close the drapes And keep doing what you do ‘Cuz I’ll never get tired of you [Chorus] She said: Do you wanna get high? Don’t eat no dinner tonight I took a road trip to Mexico And scored a hundred count Do you wanna get high? It’s like we’re falling in love We can listen to Bacharach

I'm coming to the point where this feels like my favorite Weezer song of all time. Considering I'm 20 yrs old now and I first plugged the blue album into my Walkman when I was about six, and I spent my angsty pre-teen years soaking up Pinkerton, this song brings me so much joy and takes me back to my childhood. Now I can get high to it which really seals the deal on its perfection. Thank you Rivers and gang for making 2015 worthwhile.

@@srwordsussecuaces6374 well, when White initially came out, I was pretty into it. Over time though, I think much of the album became dated and lacks replay-ability. I think this is one of the strongest on the album for sure. Haven’t cared much for Weezer’s output since then though. I’m somewhat of an anti-fan. I like them… conditionally.

rustycageandrun it’s funny how they weren’t done by Rivers. They practiced singing and harmonies as a band so Matt always sang an octave higher in falsetto voice. You could definitely tell it’s not Rivers on Blue and for Pinkerton Matt, Brian, and Rivers did their takes at the same time in the same room.

Lyrics Crush out the blue And inhale through your nose Scrape every cork From the wood in the floor She said, do you wanna get high? Don't need no diner tonight I took a road trip to Mexico And scored a hundred counts Do you wanna get high? It's like we're falling in love We can listen to Bacharach And stop at any point Now our phones start to ache As we cramp on the path We fall to the floor With the face in the mud She said, do you wanna get high? Don't need no diner tonight I took a road trip to Mexico And scored a hundred counts Do you wanna get high? It's like we're falling in love We can listen to Bacharach And stop at any point Keep on doing what you do 'Cause I'll never get tired of you Don't need booze 'cause I'll never get tired of you Stop the tare, kill the lights 'Cause I keep drift And keep doing what you're doing 'Cause I'll never get tired of you She said, do you wanna get high? Don't need no diner tonight I took a road trip to Mexico And scored a hundred counts Do you wanna get high? It's like we're falling in love We can listen to Bacharach And stop at any point Sleeping with Mother Theresa Drifting in a lone fantasia Brahmin you recite the Veda Beautiful as euthanasia

Man, I listened to this song yesterday afternoon for the first time. It has played non-stop in my head -- it was hard to get to sleep last night. Freaking amazing. It reminds me of Pink Triangle a lot; particularly the chorus of this song reminds me of the guitar solo of Pink Triangle. Also, if I can go out on a limb a ways, does this bring back to the heart a little bit of "Anthony's Song/Movin' Out" to anyone else? That rhythm/tempo and the tragic, operatic, anthemic melodies.
