You just need to read the manual. It will tell you how to deactivate gps mode and how to unlock without calibration, etc. it's a little bit different than some other drones, but not too difficult. For follow me mode, gps mode has to be on and it has to be above a certain altitude as well as 16ft away I think it's 33ft but not 100% on that from memory.

Sent one of these to my grandsons for Christmas. They crashed it on the maiden flight. Where can I get replacement parts such as the folding arm that the blades mount to?

Oh man… I’ve tried to look around for you to try to find some parts. I can’t find anything. I would recommend use Amazon to get in contact with the manufacturer. If you go to your order on Amazon there should be a option to contact the brand. And you can ask them how to acquire parts. Hope this helps!

Compared to a DJI model, the image is much shakier and lacks stability....

Usually follow me mode requires a minimum height not lateral distance ( a little misleading on the software message you saw). Not sure how high you were but looked like you may not have been high enough. Camera quality looked pretty reasonable although obviously no image stabilization in this price range. Any specs available on camera? Looks like it might be 2K?

The package claims 4k. Some of the specs are shown in the video. Maybe the height was the issue!

It looked like 2k or 4k. Not bad. If was less windy would have looked fine for price point.

Can you please guide us on where to get replacement blades for the drone, I have a WF30 and cannot find it anywhere and when I try to log on to their website, nothing loads. Also, where can we get extra batteries, if you know. Thank you in advance.

That’s a great question I can’t find the propellers either. I’m assuming you already used the spare ones given to you with the drone? If so. I would recommend you contact the manufacturer through Amazon. If you go to your local”recent orders” find the drone you bought. Go to order details I think, you should be able to find a way to contact the seller. Or you can use amazons chat not to help get In contact with them
