I'm sure that someone has beat me to this, but I was a scooper at a Baskin Robbins in the early 1970s. I really loved that job and the owner Lily Levin taught me a lot of valuable life lessons. Scooping School is a constant learning process. You have to learn to scoop to a specific weight. Over-scooping can easily give away a lot of profit, so you constantly scoop and weigh until it's second nature in slow moments. Then there are the tactical skills. If someone asks for a double or triple cone the harder ice creams are the base, then the softer textured flavors go on top. In the 70s the ice cream was made as closely as possible to Kosher standards, minus a Rabbi's blessing. The most expensive flavor to make was Pralines and Cream. Originally the mint ice cream with chocolate chips was called Chocolate Mint, but every customer called Mint Chocolate Chip, so they changed the name. 53 years later I still love Baskin Robbins. I loved the job so much that when a customer offered me a great job, I continued to scoop part time. The clients were delightful! My special talent was being able to remember complicated orders for multiple people and build each order without a mistake.

Great show -- Just a minor correction, in Italian, number 5 is Cinque which doesn't sound like 'sink'. It's Spanish, where the number 5 is Cinco, which sounds like 'sink'. So the joke would be correct if the person was Spanish :) --- a pedantic point, as fact-checking failed.

I dated someone once who thought that she was an excellent singer of karaoke. She went every Saturday night. She couldn't carry a tune in a basket and her voice cracked on the higher notes. I was asked once at the bar, while she was on stage, if I honestly thought she was good. I said "No, I think she's Excellent...just not at singing". I had to break it off with her when she suggested we move in together because, listening to that voice more than 2 hours per week would have been torture.
