I switched over to the Anderson WDH and so far I love it. I can carry it with one hand, zero grease needed they offer a 3” shank for my F350, the design takes a lot of pressure off the A frame of the trailer and once it’s dialed in takes second to hook up.

May I ask how large a trailer you pull with the Anderson? Also, is it difficult to hook up if your unlevel or truck isn’t inline with the trailer? I have a F-350 also and don’t think it needs a real heavy duty distribution setup for 10k trailers. Trying to decide between the Anderson and Weigh safe. Thanks

Question. I not sure of the carrying capacity of the truck, but I am assuming that can pull at minimum 14,000 lbs and tougue weight over a 1,000lbs. Do you need it for that trailer?

The short answer is not I don't need the WD hitch but it does help. If we are traveling short distances and not on the interstate I won't use it. But on the interstate, I do think it helps with the sway control of the camper when tractor trailers go by. The truck can more than handle the tongue and trailer weight, but I think it helps balance things out. Thanks for watching!

I just ordered this hitch. I have a F150 and will be towing a 7,000lb trailer but I got the 12,500 lb bars because it was only $50 more. Did I screw up getting the heavier duty bars? I also think the bigger the better. Nice video by the way.

Sounds good to me, I would have ordered the same thing! It's a great hitch and I'm sure you like it. Thanks for watching!

Around 3:11, does the tongue weight go from around 975# without the trunnion bars to 2,400# “dialed in”? So does this translate to an additional 1,425# transfer to the payload of the truck?

What size anti-rattle did you get? I have the 3 inch on my Chevy 2500 that I reduced to 2 in
@RunawayRosesАй бұрын
I used a 3" on the reducer and a 2" on the hitch. Thanks for watching!

Which hitch would you select for a big pop-up(3000-3500)lb. Mainly just local camping and with possible once a year trip of 2000 mile. Thank you. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Cheers!! Illinois, USA

If it was me, a pop-up camper is light enough that I wouldn't use a weight distribution hitch. I would just use a regular hitch. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Thanks for watching!

@@RunawayRoses Mine is a heavy pop-up & I do get swaying while rolling down the road. That's what bothers me.If you were to go with one;what would you choose?
