I worked 50 years in electronics cash register (Sanyo-Uniwell, Sweda,EBM, Kingtron, etc..) electronic scales, POS, bar system etc.. you name-it I did install the first electronic scale in Canada from japan TEC (Tokyo Electric Company) around 1980's, and to be legal for the seller to use it we had to do the calibration with government approved weights to 15Kl or 30 pounds , so the scale was able to switch from pounds to kilos when the overall metric system came to Canada. is fun to see with all theses new Chinese gadgets someone can replicate old technology , mind as well rebuild an electronic Cash Register from 1980's or so. good overall work.

The video was good, how ever it's not accurate. your scale worked better because it was calibrated with the weights you used to check the scales. I've worked on scales for a long time so what I'm saying is from experience. what needs to be done is to use certified weights. these are the weights we use to make, design and calibrate scales. these weights are calibrated by very accurate scales that are certified by checking to a master weight at a specific time interval to eliminate the possibility of failure in the scale. so just calibrate both scales with certified weights then measure you certified weights on both scales and you can check the weights you were using for their accuracy. but without the certified weights you are calibrating to unknowns which will make your scale look better. they can both be very accurate.

Thank you for your detailed feedback! I really appreciate your expertise and insight. I agree that certified weights are crucial for accurate calibration, and I wasn't able to access those for this demonstration. My aim was to explain the concept of calibration using what I had on hand, but I completely understand that without certified weights, it’s not a perfect solution. I'll definitely keep this in mind for future demonstrations. Thanks again for sharing your experience-it’s very helpful!

Good explanation, i think the problem is in the weights because they're maked for body maker and their whight is not exact , you have to check with real whight maked for groceries.

Thank you for your feedback! I agree that the weights I used may not be the most accurate, as I had to get them from a local shop, and I wasn't fully satisfied with them either. However, my goal was to demonstrate how a weighing scale can be properly calibrated, and I hope the explanation helped with understanding the concept.
