what if it's BID?

In medical terminology, BID stands for the latin phrase "bis in die", which simply put means twice a day. If you ever see this in dosage calculations it means that you give the provided dose 2 times in that day or 24 hour period. For example, if the order says " give 300mg of acetaminophen BID", then I know I have give 300mg twice in that day. So for that day or 24 hour period, that patient would have to receive a total of 600mg. For this specific example in the video, if the question said to give 4,000mcg/kg BID, then the answer would still be to give 2.4 mL per DOSE. However, if the question would have asked how many mL should this patient receive per DAY, then you can simply multiply your final answer by 2. So per DAY, this patient should receive 4.8mL. Does this make sense and answer your question?
