I spent about 8 months repairing my metabolism and I officially weigh less today eating 2200 cal a day than I did a year ago eating 1500 cal a day. I had to gain and lose 15lb to get here but it’s nice eating more and still losing weight

Good video Sophie. Good timing as I was thinking of doing a video on similar topic with reference to help available in my local area (although noone watches my stuff ha) so this gives me some thoughts. I wasn't aware or really thought about probiotics helping with weight loss, wondered how solid the evidence is for that (I.e. is it something I should be recommending to patients or is this an area for future research still?). I look forward to the rest in this series

I think all the gut microbiome research is super exciting, but needs more robust evidence before it will become NICE guidance etc. The studies are so far very compelling though and make physiological sense, so certainly worthy of patient recommendation I reckon. I discuss more of this on my video on the topic of gut health. Unlike so many treatments we suggest, advising probiotics in the diet will have no side effects or risks too 👍🏻.

You are so right. Even though I work out 6 (3 strength and 3 cardio) days per week my protein intake was super low. I’m now making sure I eat more protein and recently lost 1 kg in 3 days while eating more.

2 x boiled eggs every 2 hours helps loose 1kilo/day. However, on Day 3 , you will have diarrhoea.
